While the basics are in place for this title - for for a potentially very fun future game - it’s early state of development also shows.
Presently the game consists of alternating between digging down several layers of soil, and using the material mined to establish revenue generating structures, with nothing else of note yet in this build.
The game touts being able to sell blocks of material - even requiring this action twice during the tutorial -but you will literally never use the function again due to needing more material per complete ‘production floor’ than you can mine along the way.
Aside for the lack of interesting things within the soil to dig out (Where’s the precious metals, gems, fossils, and/or buried treasure? Maybe monsters to fight off?), the version as of this review has a few playability issues:
* Bug: Visiting the front of the HQ proper will lock you into an inescapable buy menu, forcing you to reset the game. Use the store button instead.
* The Canteen is currently not being used by the workers, please include hunger/thirst to go along with their tiredness.
* Additional blocks are far too expensive, please reduce the price to a third or less.
* Digging equipment upgrades are too expensive; suggest reducing the price by half.
The price discount requests are due to the production/stone floors taking too long to complete, and so becoming tedious. As an alternative to buying blocks, maybe have a room that produces them?
