# Shortcuts
- Shortcut actions have been converted to AppIntents for iOS 16, which brings increased performance and categorization within the Shortcuts application.
- We've added a Send BMD Ethernet Protocol Command action for sending commands to HyperDeck, Web Presenter, Videohub, Ultimatte, and ATEM devices.
- ATEM Network Interface Details, Get ATEM Setup Details, and Set Streaming Settings remain as SiriKit intents because AppIntents do not yet offer comparable functionality.

# OSC and HTTP Server
- Status icons on the Switcher Connection page show the status of the OSC Server and HTTP Server. Green signifies a successful connection. Red signifies a disconnection. Orange indicates a possible error in establishing the server connection.
# Miscellaneous
- We've increased the minimum target for iOS and iPadOS to 14.5. This is likely to be the last release that supports iOS 14. The minimum target size will increase to iOS 15 once iOS 17 becomes publicly available.
- We've also increased the minimum target for macOS to 12.3.
- We've added a Use Custom Back Buttons setting in the Advanced settings section to circumvent a bug with Navigation Views, where switching to other applications would cause MixEffect to lose navigation focus and revert back to a previous Switcher Section. This setting prevents this bug but also disables the swipe back gesture on affected pages (i.e., Automations, Audio Details, Media Details, and Switcher Settings views).
- The default for Shake to Reload is now off to prevent accidental disconnects on iOS devices.
- The recording filename field now saves automatically as you type.

Dear developer: THANK YOU. You’ve unlocked what was missing from Blackmagic’s system. It’s evident you had a passion to deliver a solution that so many people wanted but didn’t have. You brought an extremely polished and well thought-out product to the world of Blackmagic.
This app allows me to remotely setup, execute, and maintain a live broadcast… and so much more. I can even hop between my ATEM 2/ME and my ATEM Mini Pro systems since they’re on the same network.
You’ll find this app to be the perfect counterpart to the Mini Pro. It allows you to setup and monitor livestreams and recordings from an iPhone or iPad, so you don’t need to keep a computer around for the ATEM software.
When I got the Mini Pro and discovered it only had a button for UPstream, I found my workaround in this app because it has the downstream keys. Super helpful!
There’s a LOT to this app. I can’t cover everything (nor should you have to read my many words!)
Download it, try the gracious 30 day free trial, then buy it. Support the developer! There are frequent updates with bug fixes and even new features. Completely worth the price.

This app is a must-have for live broadcast ATEM workflow. My ISO Extreme runs streaming and distribution in our livestream-enabled performance venue. As the operator I am a one man tech team and I must on occasion sprint across the floor to deal with (insert gig nightmare here) and having MixEffect on my hand ensures the booth is never left alone. I can sit at the bar and control my livestream, video distribution, camera audio levels, supersource, you name it. All with a beer in my other hand, or while problem solving on stage. I can watch a distro monitor and keep myself out of the active camera shot. I can switch to image and mute audio in an emergency while sitting on the toilet. Best $50 I ever spent on this iPhone.

Absolutely Stunning!!!
This is easily my favorite app of all time. I have a half dozen ATEM switches including an ATEM 4/ME Broadcast Studio 4K and the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO. I learned about this app when it was in Beta from a fellow Office Hours panelist. I was immediately hooked. What a huge productivity enhancer! The Super Source Features are just awesome and the added power of shortcuts is just a match made in heaven. Thanks for bringing this much needed app to market! As a mobile and backend developer myself, I can appreciate the amount of work that a project like this requires. Keep up the great work! I can’t wait to see what comes up with next!!!

Takes the ATEM switches to 11!
All the features of the ATEM become accessible through MixEffect. Somethings that can take hours to get right on with the ATEM software (macros) can be done and polished in just a few minutes! Setting up super sources with their transitions can also take hours to get just right, now are 5 minute simple tasks. This is a game changing application that pays you back on your first production with it. It triples the value of your ATEM switchers.

App and developer 5 stars. Throwback to iphone 1 days. When developers solved new unique needs— talked with customers, Iterated and updated fast and effective. Mix effects v1 was great.. 11 updates later even better .. NOT because v1 bad but b/c engages customer pro and newbie. customers ask .. what about x? Could you do y? And boom there it is ..this app does what it says. Makes use of blackmagic atem better, easier and more robust!

Without question the best & it keeps getting better!
As a published developer, I know the rigor required to create an app that is both useful and fun. This app is far and away the best a temp control I’ve ever seen. I was part of the initial beta testing and have never seen better support. Do not hesitate to buy this app once you’re certain it does what you need it to.

Really is the app BMD should have made In House. This app is wonderful if you want to manage your atem. I’ve used it to remote control my atem mini pro ISO from the audience of a meeting while broadcasting it to a web service and it worked flawlessly. No issues and full featured, highly recommend.

Great App!
This app is amazing. It controls all aspects of your ATEM switchers, can be networked and controlled via companion and has amazing support from developer Adam Tow. He has directly answered some of my questions about the software on Facebook and the app keeps getting updated and improved almost weekly. Highly recommend for any ATEM user!

All BM ATEM Owners Need this
mixEffect Pro by Adam Tow is awesome and one of my favorite purchases of 2022 for my home TV studio. Highly recommend upgrading to pro version. Why? super source templates, available to download on multiple iPads from the same iTunes account, multiple Atems on your net work? No problem. two thumbs up and multiple toes. ;)
