Description
MoBeGo, or “Monitoring Behavior on the Go,” is a research-based mobile app that allows students to self-monitor their behavior and teachers track student behavior in real time. MoBeGo was designed to help students become more aware of their classroom behaviors, set and achieve goals, and improve their behavior. At the same time, teachers build relationships with students by using the app alongside the student, providing helpful feedback, and tracking student progress. The app has a built-in, data-based algorithm that notifies users when and how goals should be adjusted, taking the onus off the teacher to calculate, graph, and analyze data. These automated, data-driven goal changes help students meet their behavioral goals and sustain positive behavior over time.
Research has shown teacher and students love MoBeGo because it is easy to use, allows them to see their progress, and provides a touchstone for positive interactions between teachers and students. In a randomized control trial, students who used MoBeGo showed significant improvements in classroom engagement and decreases in disruptive behavior compared to the control group.
MoBeGo is an efficient, effective, and research-based way to improve students’ behavior.
