When you find the artwork, tap the camera icon and center it in your screen to unlock the hidden video. Hidden Histories is an augmented reality (AR) experience that will immerse guests in the history of our storied resort. Through this mobile app specifically developed for Mohonk, guests will be sent on a journey to locate 12 pieces of artwork that act as trigger points for the app. When viewing the artwork through the app, guests will see the walls of the Mountain House come to life and unlock Mohonk Stories videos of Smiley Family members, longtime staff, and loyal guests.

So much fun!
My family and I were visiting Mohonk for the first time and we were recommended this activity. On one of the rainy days we gave it a shot and everyone had a great time! This is a must-do at Mohonk when the outdoor activities aren’t available. This definitely made some happy memories that I won’t forget!

Needs Updating
Interesting idea, but you won’t be able to do them all. The Spa sign has changed and the app not updated. So don’t expect to be entered into the draw! Apart from that, it’s a clever treasure hunt.

Camera does not open when tapped
The app does not open the camera, even though access to the camera is granted and verified in the settings.

Tapping camera icon does not unlock videos. It just opens your cell phone camera.
