The Momento M6 Dash Cam Viewer app allows drivers to review, edit, and download video recorded on their Wi-Fi enabled Momento dash cameras. To use this application, please confirm that you have the following dash camera systems installed on your vehicle:

• Recording trips and exciting moments on the road
• Exporting video recorded from an accident or collsion

• Configuring the settings on your Momento Wi-Fi dash cam

How It Works:
Wi-fi enabled Momento dash cameras broadcast a “Wi-Fi hotspot”, which is accessible within ~10 meters of your vehicle. Open the Momento Dash Cam Viewer app to review video that is recorded and stored on the camera’s micro-SD card.
Important note: Momento dash cameras do NOT upload your video footage to any type of online, or “cloud” storage. All of your video footage is stored locally on the hardware, and is accessible within ~10 meters. That means – no storage or subscription fees!

iOS 14 update???
Having issues connecting to cam via WiFi after updating to iOS 14. Any plans on updating app??
Phone recognizes WiFi hotspot and app shows it’s connected. Once I try to click live it gives a message to connect to WiFi hotspot. Haven’t had this issue until I updated to IOS 14.

Great little App to complement a great little dash camera.
The app has been very solid. I have not discovered any terribly impactful problems. A nice simple interface that is easy to use and navigate. The only small problem I have discovered is the setting of the time. The app is set for Pacific Time, which is correct for my area, but it reads one hour behind what the actual current time is. Selecting the “Day Light Savings Time” switch has no affect. I would like to see this issue fixed. Correct time stamp information is important should something occur.

Pretty useless and pretty disappointing
So after having a Momento dealer highly recommended the M6 camera system I spent $500 to have one installed on my Ioniq 5. I can not for the life of me get the WiFi on the camera to talk to my iPhone 14 pro max running iOS 16.1
Installer says call customer support, customer support says probably needs an app update by the third party developer that wrote the app… both suggest taking sd card out of camera and view on MacBook. Like that does a lot of good in real world situations!!!! I spent the money for peace of mind that in the event of an accident with questionable fault, I’d be able to provide things on the spot to LEOs from my point of view.
This is a very broken feature and honestly a waste of $500 for me seeing as the camera is non refundable and no refunds obviously on installation fees.
My only hope is that app developer pushes an update soon that addresses this issue. After reading through all the reviews recently, I’m not the only one who is less than happy with this cameras software and mobile app.

Needs more work
2 stars for the app. Would be nice if the app actually gives you notifications when someone is close to your car & have the ability to do a live view when away from your car. You also cant change any of the settings if your car isnt on & wifi isnt turned on & connected to your phone.

Camera is great though. The fact that it doesn’t have a screen keeps you from being distracted when driving.

App has problems
I love the cameras and I love the high definition. The app…..fails. It always has connection issues. Lately I connect the the camera via Wi-Fi and the app recognizes its connected but it won’t allow me to access live feed or videos. Is it too much to ask you to fix this app. I’ve had this problem for almost two years. If I need to see video my only option is to pull the memory card and use a computer.

Can’t connect to M6 WiFi
Just had this camera system professionally installed at a shop yesterday. The system worked great while setting up with shop tech, but I have yet to repeat that feat. Looks like I got sold a bill of goods. Had read reviews prior to install, but truly thought the software issues would be minor at this point. Totally disappointed. Even if I can return the camera, my install fee is gone.
And no, I haven’t called tech support, etc. This seriously should be a no brainer. Install app - set up - enjoy.

Good and Bad
It looks good and I like that the videos it takes automatically upload to my phone when I start the vehicle. However I would like to be able to watch a video of what is going on from the app at anytime (like if I’m parked in a sketchy neighborhood but I’m out for dinner and not close by) But I can only do that when the vehicle is turned on. What is the point of the “Live Viewer” if I’m already in the drivers seat? I’m already looking out the windshield so why would I need to watch a live video of it? Dumb.

Update for new iPhone
Please Update the App interface for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. A faster and more responsive app would also be very convenient. I love my dash cam and the app controls. I chose this over the m7 just for the app experience. A refresh will make this better.

Needs Update
The app is having troubles connecting via the Wifi cam. Saw another review with the same problem, from October of last year...application definitely requires an update. I need to access my videos and it’s hard to do that when it won’t connect.
