This app is like Peanut, with fewer features and options. I think people need to be prompted to personalize their profiles more, because it’s really hard to tell if you’d like someone’s company from the available info - a tiny bio and a bunch of ore-canned tags. Also, the profile should be right under the photo, one shouldn’t have to click on “View Profile” to see bio - obviously we’re going to need to see bio and not just base our decision on a photo, lol. The app has some technical kinks to work out too - for example, each time i opened the app I was prompted to complete my profile and had to click “continue” 3 or 4 times, despite my profile having been filled out. The disclaimer when you install the app claims there’s three ways to get an account, including with an email, but in reality you can only register with a facebook or an apple id. No way to filter searches by child age or any other applicable data, and few users - as a result, I didn’t find anyone in my city I felt compelled to swipe right on.

Thank you so much MomieGo. We two under five and my husband and I were driving each other crazy. To the point where the D word was mentioned. Our therapist told us we needed friends but finding them was exhausting. We eventually stopped seeing her but she called us out of the blue a couple months later to tell us about MomieGo app. Another client couple once on the brink of D swore by it. And they were right. We both found our best friends in the app and now all of us have a really cool squad going. Most importantly my husband and I are like high school sweethearts again! I can’t thank you enough for creating this app for parents. You saved us! THANK YOU

I’m lucky enough to be blessed with great friends. But that doesn’t mean we all started our families at the same time. And right as you want to connect with people who’s kids are at similar developmental milestones as your child, you loose the time to think straight. A friend told me about this app and since then I’ve gone on a bunch of meet ups and made awesome friends (& same is true for my kids)! Concerns I’ve read on here about negative comparisons to Tinder are silly. MomieGo (really its ParentGo) is a great way to find parent friends on the fly, no judgement, no fuss... and for those of us who’s dating years ended pre-Tinder, now we don’t feel left out of the future!

What I love about this app is how genuine all the other moms are on here. I’ve been on and off the app since I found it in a mommy group and have tried other ones. I tried Peanuts and they’re always trying to upsell with this service, this thing, memberships…

Here, I’m actually trying to connect with friends… God knows how hard that is.

I know it’s a pretty new app but I’m hoping there could soon be a back-end algorithm built in that moms could also a swipe on services they’d recommend. I need to find a good chess teacher and don’t know where to look!

So great to meet people that are local with similar family structure.

Was great to find married couples and other single moms as I was separating from my partner. Definitely fun for meeting local people in general but also fun as a past time. The other apps make it seem like all the world is singles living their best life…This makes those of us living our best-real life accessible. It’s been a relief.

Other than that it’s a weird idea to have a Tinder approach where people rate each-other’s beauty, and apply that to finding parents.
Are you looking for hot parents to have a foursome with? Not really. I guess some people would go for that.

This app feeds off the Facebook platform, so you’re restricted to selecting a single photo on your profile. Result: people opt to show their kid in their profile (swipe right on a kid is a bit awkward right?). No consistency in how people present themselves whatsoever.

All communication in this app is based around 1-to-1 interactions. There is no sense of community, no sense of anything really. Are there interests groups, events? Do parents have questions and need guidance? So much possible, yet this app chooses to focus on the wrong swipe left/right mechanism and doesn’t do anything innovating or interesting with it.

Further the maker of this app (a mom) came across as really arrogant when providing with suggestions. It’s not a professional company but an individual without a legal team or plan. Be careful registering an account, they have no data officer or prepared for any PIID information stored.

It’s hard to find a good mom tribe these days and this app gives you the opportunity to meet moms and dads in your community that you may have never met under normal circumstances. One commenter alludes to the fact that it is weird to base your friends on looks. You’re right, that is weird! The idea is to read about the person and connect with people with similar interests and children around the same age. It’s a great concept and I have had the opportunity to connect other parents in my area. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to for this app. There weren’t a lot of families in our area at first so I shared it with our local parent groups on Facebook. The next morning I opened the app hoping to see a few new members and there were at least 50! I don’t know if it was from my share or what but I do know that we’ve met our favorite families in this app. I can’t thank you enough for making this resource for parents. I am a huge fan. 5 stars!!

I found my partner via a dating app and love the concept of matching to like minded parents! Being a new mom can feel isolating so I recently joined MomieGo to find mommy friends and eventual playmates for my son! I love the quick and easy way of swiping through profiles and the options they give you to set up your profile like “into 90sR&B and BBQs” yes please!! Can’t wait to build my new village of friends and hang out again (while nursing of course) lol

I just moved here no one for my little one to play with and someone around here told me about this app because I keep placing play dates up on the moms fb. It’s great I can pick and chose the ages my likes and dislike and much more then we meet locally with our kids and they can play and we also meet new friends as well which is also great it’s a 2 in one app and I love it
