kathy_steph,
Pregnant and nursing mothers NEED this app.
I often suffered in silence during my pregnancy/ early postpartum because I was so nervous about what I was taking in and how it’d affect my baby. Google results will literally return anything that coincides with your search, so it was nearly impossible to get straight answers sometimes.
This app did away with my medication anxiety completely. It provides study data on so many medications I thought I couldn’t take and tells me exactly whether or not I can take it. It’s great!
cnmjg,
New update big problem but fixed with re-install
Update:
I removed and then re-installed the app and it works well again. So thankful as I use this very frequently.
This is my “go to” app for pregnancy and breastfeeding safety and patient counseling. Now the app doesn’t work at all. Nothing loads and I have been unable to use it. Very frustrating. Please fix it.
Alison.......,
Design, missing some data
Overall design is a little cumbersome to utilize. There isn’t much data on certain medications in the app despite there being tons of studies on their use in pregnancy. So I end up wading through a bunch of PubMed articles despite buying this app. Also, it is sometimes difficult to search for meds- like propranolol (very commonly used) isn’t even on there. A little weird. It wasn’t expensive to buy, I just don’t find it useful and will instead be using Epocrates or PubMed.
Kailag23,
Keep getting an error while trying to use
Anytime I click on something I get an error saying “internet connection error. Unable to detect an internet connection. Verify you are connected to the internet and try again.” Even though I am connected to the internet. I tried my wifi and my phones cellular data and keep getting this message. I pay for this app every year and haven’t had this happen before. Is there a known way to fix this error?
workadaysoap,
Trusted
Recommended by my lactation consultants as a trusted resource for medication safety. Great for peace of mind during pregnancy and breastfeeding, when googling is inconclusive and contradictory. I gladly paid the $3.99 subscription cost to help fund more research. Thank you for creating this app!

Lacking detail
I’m a Lactation Counselor and this app shows risk factors but does not clarify some types of risks. Drug safety is shown in regards to the safety of the breastfeeding infant however it is known that allergy medications and many cold and flu medications temporarily dry out a mothers milk supply. It is rather important information for mothers to know this! Don’t you think? If a mother has the flu and takes medicine and on top of fighting her illness she can’t feed her crying baby! Could you imagine the stress and harm this causes! This is careless.

A Mom Essential
This app has been amazing through my TEN years of nursing and pregnancy! I recommend it every new mom. The hotline has also been helpful at some very stressful times.

Not working and paid for subscription
The app is not working for me. I keeping getting a message “internet connection error.” I tried turning my wifi off and back on and still not working. I tried deleting and redownloading and now it won’t even let me log in—I get the same error message.
Ninji1990,
My wife still can’t log in.
She’s emailed support and clicked forget password many times. Nobody responds to her emails and she doesn’t get an email. She’s checked every folder and searched by keywords. Nothing. I want a refund if we can’t get access. This is ridiculous.
