This app makes learning every chord a fun challenge, and it removes the tedium that can come with music learning by making it a game! Shy, music-loving monsters roam the dark forest, and would like nothing more than to hear some good music. Play the right chords in time with the music to draw them out of hiding. Each time you play the correct chord, the monsters move closer towards your campfire. If you make a mistake, they will go back into hiding.
Jam along to classic songs like "London Bridge Is Falling Down", "Mary Had A Little Lamb", "LadyBird", "I'm A Little Teapot", and get in the groove with over 20 original modern compositions.
Monster Chords also introduces the Composer Mode, a simple, user-friendly tool that lets you create your own songs. You only need to choose the tempo (or beats per minute) and drag and drop chords to start making your own groove. Upload your own songs and share them with your friends, or play songs created by other users!
Monster Chords ranks chord playing with a simple and friendly star rating, allowing you to practice and improve your guitar skills over time. It also includes a guitar tuner minigame that you can play in either timed or easy mode.

I saw great reviews on this so I thought it was going to be great!!
I love the app but I’m a little old for it and I guessed too experienced on the ukulele, because it asks you some questions before you start, and one of them was “ have you played the ukulele before? “ I said yes. When I was playing it took me through everything super slowly and didn’t go as fast as I expected. I’m also in 7th grade and this is probably made for 2nd-4th graders. I did learn the dm cord so it was helpful. I recommend it, but it just wasn’t built for me.
Love the graphics and how easy the instructions are to understand!!

Great app! No complaints!
This is the best app ever! I feel able to actually learn without being confused. Yes I’m a 5th grader, this is for probably lower lower grades, but I’m ACTUALLY learning something rather than using a more adult leaning app which just messes with me. Use it! It’s amazing! 5 stars are far more than worth it!(+subscription DOESN'T cost $60!)

Making learning fun
So far I’m enjoying this app. I downloaded it to refresh my memory on my guitar chords but also as a learning option for my daughter. So far I love playing the chord games. I hope you develop other games to help with other instruments.

It is super easy. There are no adds I don’t have to pay for anything and it is slow and helpful. It’s a 10/10 for mEh!

Ok. A little buggy
Works pretty well and a decent start for beginners. Still fun after a couple weeks of practice. The composer mode doesn’t work for me even though I have a subscription. It says I have to subscribe. When I try to subscribe again Apple says I already have a subscription. Sometimes it wouldn’t count stars after I finished a song.

This is a fun and great learning tool for musicians of all ages. Unlike other apps you don’t need to pay just to learn to play. Amazing app!

Great but not so great
The concept of the app is great and the tutorials are good but doesn’t recognize the actual cords I can strum and get the note right can’t really learn that way... it seems fun but wish it was a little more accurate so I can actually learn to play

Won't open for me
I've tried downloading this on both of my sons' and my iPad and none of them worked. It works when I download it on my phone but I'm not giving them my phone. I'd like for it to work on the iPad. It tries to open but then force closes immediately after. Please fix this!
