Description

▸ 2012 Editor's Choice Award! - Children's Technology Review
▸ "a fun, educational app that hits the mark with kids" - The iPhone Mom

Monster Physics® is a unique building app that lets you play with physics! Build and operate your own car, crane, rocket ship, plane, helicopter, tank and more!

BUILD IT:
Set your imagination free! Build intricate, working contraptions with over 68 different parts including wheels, rockets, propellers, cannons, magnets, claws, wings and more. Choose from different materials including metal, wood, plastic, rubber and ice. Connect parts together by welding them, drawing a rope or chain between them with your finger or using special dynamic joints to bring them to life.

Once your invention is complete, Monster Physics® will render it with it's built-in physics engine and let you actually operate your creation in real time. You can drive your car, operate your crane, guide your rocket into space or fly your helicopter! The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

SOLVE IT:
Think outside the box! Monster Physics® comes with 50 missions for you to solve including simple tutorials as well as mind-bending challenges. Many of the missions are open-ended and can be solved with a wide variety of different solutions so you can play them over and over again. Players will learn problem-solving and creative-thinking skills while having tons of fun.

LEARN IT:
Have fun while learning! Players learn physics "hands on" through solving missions and building and refining their own inventions. In addition, a separate learn section introduces players to basic physics concepts such as friction, force, mass, acceleration and more.

FEATURES:
▸ Create your own monster avatar
▸ Design and operate your own inventions
▸ Solve 50 fun missions
▸ Build with 68 different parts
▸ Learn common physics terms
▸ Create up to six player profiles
▸ Enjoy fun sound effects and music

▸ Powered by a realistic physics engine
▸ Retina support
▸ Works on both iPhone and iPad - a universal app

kripikri,
Why is this mission Broken?
So, why is Obstacle Course Broken? So when i tried to place 1 Block, it was fine. But When i tried to place the second block, It only let me place one. Either this was a mistake from me, or you just had some problems coding this. but if you do fix this, It would help a lot!
Kevin Holzer.,
So I just solved the mystery of perpetual motion…
I’ve been playing since I was 8 or 9, and 8 years later, I accidentally made a perpetual motion machine. I tried making a manually combusting single cylinder engine with a motorized start that would disconnect from the cylinder after starting. The start sequence was a little too overpowering, so I had to triple-hinge the cylinder, and because the hinges are placed ever so slightly off from each other, the elastic torques cause the cylinder to perpetually power itself until the piston breaks off, and the wheel it was connected to accelerates to around 1000rpm and never stops until I end the simulation. Pretty sure the solution is to decrease the power of the start system so I don’t have to triple-hinge the cylinder, but I think what I have now is much more interesting that intended. And this is still one of my favorite educational games I have ever played.
Firefirexfire,
Awesome
I love this game some times it gets annoying because it’s not very capable of very advanced but that doesn’t stop me I have three characters all maxed out at the 99 creations mostly full of weird physics testing and experimenting for future creations and the rest are very well working planes and my awesome collections of working helicopter and you can’t forget the working suspension systems I’ve made that work on heavy planes and light cars
G0rd0n2o14,
We need more build limits!
I use this game a lot but it has its problems. The build limit is way too low, I get it might lag if it had more then 50 limit but we can’t build complex things freely
Ainemark,
Awesome!
I’ve been getting advanced and making working shotguns, RPGs, tanks that fire bombs, morters, and even a nuke that launches from space!

The skies the limit for sure!

Except for the fact that you can only have 50 parts in an invention.
sad engineering phd,
Steep learning curve
And I do mean steep. The tutorials are not sufficient, be prepared for quite a bit of frustration from your child. That spilled over to the adults in this house, too. I tried to help my boy create a simple two wheeled self-propelled vehicle, which came across as a 2-step, 2-second endeavor in the tutorial. 10 minutes of floundering, and we managed to get one wheel to spin. Once. But it wasn’t attached to the chassis, though the tutorial implied it should have been.

Skip this.
Mr. chezmiclolz,
Can you add landing legs?
So I had trouble making legs for my rocket so I could land.. I could really do it. Could you add landing legs?
How it works: Add it at the bottom of a rocket and if pressed it will extend acting like landing legs for a rocket
reecedabrick,
We need more build items
The game is fun but we need more build items.
Misled&disappointed,
love
You should make a 3-D version of this game. I also love the game also maybe like up the limit from 50 to like 150
Brashy1,
Physics Made Fun!!
My 8 yr old twins love this app, they have had it for several years and are still very much engaged.
