To record a stage pause the game and tap the 'R' button at the top-left of the screen - there must be an existing best time on that stage for the 'R' button to appear.

A classic
Coming back to this game after a long absence and just wanted to say how well it holds up. It was a welcomed surprise when it first came out and all these years later it’s clear what a classic it turned out to be.

Wow, this is fantastic...
I adore this game. This is easily one of the very best platformers I've come across on iphone. There were some issues with the jump button, but they have been addressed in the new update. The way the jump button functions can now be toggled between "bounce" (hold the jump button, and Mos jumps continuously) and "single" (the more traditional option; one press = one jump). It's not a complete fix. I still believe the "bounce" method of jumping could be improved, if not perfected (there are times where "bouncing" is invaluable). But it's a good option if "bounce" is giving you problems. And finally, while I do like the audio track, a little more variety to the music would be nice. Anyway, this is a great game. A must buy if you like platformers.

Lots of fun
This game is insanely addicting. I was initially hesitant about getting it since there were only 25 levels and I polished off the lite version of the game pretty quickly, but the game increases with difficultly and you can't advance to the later stages without getting a certain number of goals from the previous levels (speed runs, finding the skull, ect). The level designs and music are great, and the throwback graphics are a really nice touch. My only complaint about the game is that I occasionally hit the iPad button when meaning to go left and exit the game (though I prefer the arrow key controls over the other type). Anyway, if you enjoyed the lite version of the game, it's worth checking out the full version.

Completely underrated
I got this game years ago on my iPad and recently picked it up again on my phone. It's a very well designed platformer that focuses on making sure you can play levels again and again and it never gets old. There are goals for each level (win, get all the coins, etc,) that are really fun to try to get. Also the speedrun in the title is literal, it's really fun trying to beat your own records!

Flawed controls
For a game like this where precise timing is the difference between a speed run and death, you need great controls. It's tough to do on the iPhone, but League of Evil showed that it's entirely possible, even during speed run death traps. Mos Speedrun fails in this regard, dropping an otherwise awesome game down to a mediocre three stars. This could be partially fixed in d-pad mode by recognizing any taps on the right side of the screen as a jump attempt, rather than limiting to taps that precisely hit the jump button.
Otherwise, the retro TV look is a nice touch, the challenges are good, and the game seems like it could be as addictive as the aforementioned League of Evil. Unfortunately, with these controls, it falls short.

Fiendishly difficult and addicting platformer
I have completed the game (all skulls, coins, etc) and its a great retro platformer/speed runner. Coming from Mikey Shorts I have to say I prefer Mikey's look. Mos's look just doesnt appeal to me as much. Also, it takes too long after dying to retry. Mikey has a literally one tap retry button. Still, good speed run game and it's fun finding the skulls. Controls are spot on but you can tell the achievements were codes before the last batch of levels came out. Also, the web levels are a good concept but there is no way to view your past progress on them. Bummer.

Perfect retro game! I'm hooked beyond belief. After downloading hundreds of apps, this game prompted my first app rating. Why can't other iOS platformers have this kind of simple and effective controls?! This game was worth the money more than any other I've payed for (and I've bought tons of top rated games.) Thank you so much for creating such a well polished and addictive game...words can't describe my joy. Haha.
Oh, and by-the-by, this is the AWESOMEST MUSIC EVER!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Who is the person who came up with this music? I would buy a whole cd of these songs! I can listen to it over and over and over ageeeeen!

Fantastic game
I've been hooked to this platformer for a couple days now and I can't stop. The ghosts of previous attempts are a great feature. Everyone should get this. The levels do get a bit repetitive playing them over and over again but it's not an inconvenience. Controls work perfectly fine. Definitely worth buying this addictive game. I finally got all the medals! It says 5 star reviews bring new levels. I can't wait for more!!

Poor jump controls detract from a solid title
In a game of best times and precision jumps, this title fails at the one attribute it had to excel at if it was going to be a great title: poor controls. As stated by other reviewers, if this had supberb controls like League of Evil, this game would be awesome. Unfortunately, the jump controls are not fluid, resulting a great number of control related deaths, not user error. Good effort, and hope controls will be looked at in a future update. (4 star because it's still pretty &@$! addicting! :)

Love it!
It's retro, it's fun and easy to control, you can customize the controls, the character, music/FX volume. It's just a fun little game and well worth the $1.99

Now that I'm on the 4th level I still love the game but want to throw my iPhone against the wall at times. It's getting harder (giggity) and I want to keep playing it but can't. Also, it's annoying how the little dude doesn't stop completely so it ends up falling off the edge and dying.
