Description
Move Me is a motivation and exercise concept for "Workplace Health Management" (WHM). It is based on the "Transtheoretical Model" (TTM) for behavioural change.
Germany has a yearly expenditure of 223 billion EUR because of sick leaves that result in a huge economic damage. The majority of the symptoms (like high blood pressure and back pain) can be ascribed to lack of movement.
There are multiple solutions present on the market like Wearables, nutrition, fitness, and motivational Apps, but also classical offers like gyms and sports clubs. They all have the same problem. For a majority of users, the motivation for behavioural change and a healthier lifestyle does not last and there is a high drop-out rate after a short period of time (usually shorter than 6 months).
The reason behind is, that none of these solutions combine the following aspects to create a lasting change:
+ Motivation is created through intrinsic and extrinsic factors
+ People with low intrinsic motivation for sport do need a stronger extrinsic motivation to make a lasting behavioural change.
+ A lasting behavioural change does go through phases and there are always relapses
+ Social circumstances (e.g. Employer) can play a big role in this context
+ Motivational factors function differently depending on the bodily condition and personal mindset
The Move Me concept combines these points by providing an entire and low-threshold concept, that can be used for years without losing relevance for the user. This concept results in a permanently added value with a healthier lifestyle through regular exercise.
To deliver this motivational concept, the Move Me App integrates with your Apple Health App to obtain your daily steps data.
