Simple, straightforward movie & show tracker
Spreadsheets and physical notepads is how I kept track of the shows and movies I watched. Then I kept track on whatever streaming service I happened to use. Now that streaming services have become like cable I wanted to consolidate all the shows and movies I have watched. Lots of apps out there offer this service but almost all of them will harvest your personal data. I'm not about that.
The fact that data isn't collected is a huge plus for me. The full functionality of the app is only $5 - unheard of in these days where everything is a subscription!

Some Oddness
It seems okay so far, but has a few oddities, unless I am missing somethng. It has a backlog section and a watched section. If I add something to my backlog and then watch it and add it to my watched section, it still somehow stays in my backlog section as well. Why is this? It doesn't seem like the app has a way to remove it from my backlog but still have it show up as watched, unless I create some separate space for it and move it there, which just seems dumb to me. Once a show is marked as watched, it should no longer be in my backlog.
Update: I added a star, as the developer has informed me of a way to hide the watched shows. I wish this was a bit more obvious & intuitive though.

Great app!
I’m obsessed with tracking things, and i used the book tracker app made by the same company, so it was only natural i needed to try this out. and it didn’t disappoint! i love this app! it’s easy to figure out and has the best backlog of any app i’ve used. my only suggestion is more info on the statistics side of it. i can classify to my hearts content and i love that. to elevate this app to the next level for me, i’d love to be able to really analyze my movie watching preferences. it already has a most watched actor section, i would expand that to include director and other things as well. but great apps all around!

Just What I Wanted
This app is exactly what I was looking for to keep track of all the movies I want to watch. It’s user-friendly, has plenty of options without being overwhelming, and even tells you where you stream, rent or buy the movie. The only thing I would suggest (and this is very minor) is an option to sort the list of movies with “unwatched” on top and “watched” on the bottom. There’s an option to hide the watched movies, so I will use that for now. Thank you for such a great app. I’ve never bothered to write a review for an app but thought this one was worth the shout out.

I’ve been using booktrack for a while now, I can’t believe it took me so long to download this app. This is exactly what I was looking for! Clean elegant interface, easy to navigate, the search results are clear and easy to read, and fast. It was totally worth paying for instead of having a cluttered screen with ads like so many others do. Really, this is just perfect. I love the flexibility too of “spaces” and “tags”, it has allowed me to condense a bunch of different lists I was keeping. Again, sweet app.

Amazing app, but i just want one thing
This app is everything ive needed to keep track of my shows and movies. However, i would like the option to edit movie/shows posters. Doing so would make a certain fitting aesthetic in all my collections with matching poster colors. Overall, this app is amazing and i hope this feature could be a thing in the future. Also to move movies/shows manually in however order we'd like. I'd pay for it🙏

Perfect Movie Journal
I wanted to start keeping track of my movie watching in the new year and this app is perfect! I love the simple design and customization of being able to create “spaces” for ways I’m watching. Great search functionality for finding where things stream, too. Finally, emailed the developer with a quick question and got a repose within United that solved my problem. Definitely going to pay for the full app. Great service and great app!

I love this app and the book tracker one as well. Simple, lean interface and it integrates so well with iOS 16.
My only wish is a quicker way to add a movie to watched rather than first adding it to ‘backlog’ and a way to add without specifying a date for movies watched a while ago. I also hope their are plans for a video game tracker as well as a stand-alone TV Show tracker (I know this one does both but I’d love it’s own.

Trying to keep a personal watch list has never been easier. I have been using the Book Tracker for years and I just learned of the movie tracker and it is a welcome addition to my app library.
I would love to see a widget that uses the ‘Watched’ category to show recent watches in my home screen. And maybe a way to add a space to another space

Great app--you want it!
Great app--I just emailed a friend suggesting he use it. Until now I'd been using 3-4 different programs to track movies I want to watch. I'd try one tool, find it deficient and move to the next, leaving some titles in the old tool.
With Movie Tracker, I have finally moved everything I want to watch into one tool. I absolutely love it.
