ken3801,
A good game finally on arcade
Good bowling sim. Decent graphics and sound effects. Very challenging to play but not real hard. Good computer competition and very fair. Mimics real bowling. Would like update to pin physics. They seem a bit too heavy. also the sound when hitting just one pin should sound like one pin going down. Always uses the same strike type sound effect on contact. Other than that a worthy game to play if you like bowling. Very awesome and fun. Please keep improving!

Good but needs a glow up
This app is alright to play occasionally with friends, but there are some glaring flaws that prevent it from being top-notch. The first thing I noticed after opening the app were the 2006-style graphics. The icons look dated and the quality of the game isn’t so great. Some of the lanes and bowling balls are blurry and pixelated, which is distracting and makes the game feel lackluster. I tried changing the quality to “very high” in settings and it still doesn’t look great. Granted, real-life bowling alleys aren’t exactly known for state of the art modern technology, but I feel that high quality should be a bare-minimum in a mobile game in 2023.

The other issue with this game is how easy it is to win and this is coming from someone who is tErRibLe at bowling in real life. Once you learn the trick to getting a strike, it’s brain-meltingly easy to win the game. Maybe creating a more realistic mechanism to aiming the ball would make it more challenging, perhaps adding an arm to control?

Overall, this is a decent game that could be excellent with just a couple improvements.
Chrish1227,
I’ve played better
I’ve only been playing this game for less than an hour total and I can tell it certainly has potential to be great. There are just a couple issues I’ve seen so far. First off the graphics are very good and it’s clear that a lot of effort was put into making the game. The first thing I noticed when playing a practice game is that pin movement is not realistic. Pins seem a little heavy and do not break realistically. Unless you hit directly in the “pocket”, your chances of a split are incredibly high, as there is little to no forgiveness through pin action like there would be in real bowling. Game play is also a little slow and there needs to be a way to either skip CPU turns or at least speed through them.
Elephent Nation,
Fun but frustrating
Okay first off this is probably the best bowling simulator I’ve found and I want to give this developer its flowers for that!! I enjoy league mode and tournaments in the game but as I’m getting to notice the AI is just programmed to do and get certain scores. I’ve watched this AI throw the ball directly at the 7 pin and wipe out the back down for 5 pins every time then pick up the spare the exact same throw every frame.

My biggest issue with this is as a bowler Pin action is never the same no matter how badly we want it to be. Two I’d rather see the AI trying to hit pocket then shooting for the 10 pin and getting a lucky pin action every time.

Fun game
Fun and enjoyable…the crowd noise gets annoying though. Should include and option to turn them off but keep other sounds. Especially this one distracting person saying “vamanos” (“let’s go” in Spanish). Haha.
ventmana,
Offensive to bowlers
This game is offensively poor in both game design and emulating the bowling experience.

Right off the bat, it is abundantly clear that the best strategy is just throwing a ball slightly left and straight up the middle. No spin, no rotation. I bowled 300 my second game this way. The developers have negligently decided to reward mundane and unskilled tactics while actively punishing any attempt to bowl with intention. Trying to spin, arc, or otherwise do ANYTHING beyond slightly-left-and-straight will always yield poor results.

Why would you spend so much time and effort to include physics in your game if they are unviable?

The physics aren’t even good. The pins have pre-animated collision patterns. This is not a physics based bowling game. You cannot get better at it. You either throw slightly-left-and-straight or you will get a lower score.

If you like pretty reflections and sliding your finger straight up repeatedly, get this game. If you want to have fun, go out to your local bowling alley and leave the tablet at home.

Fun game, some weird quirks
This game is fun, the graphics are pretty good. The one thing is the physics are a little weird. Or maybe the collision settings. I’m by no means a pro, but seems pretty impossible to bowl a whole game and have 9 of 10 splits. Doesn’t seem to react to spin on impact, etc.

Also, not a huge deal but the menu and button graphics and overall look and feel make me think this is not an iOS app in the sense that all of the fonts, buttons etc are not what I expect on an iOS app, let alone a promoted Arcade game.
Titleist Driver,
Too Many Splits
This is a really nice looking bowling simulation. It's relatively easy to play once you figure out how to roll the ball with velocity.

However, the pin dynamics are very unrealistic. If your ball so much as casts a breeze on the head pin, you will be left with an impossible split. Even if you nail the pocket, you'll sometimes get a split. In real bowling, splits are much, much more rare and I wish this game reflected that more accurately.
Eja Nevah,
It's good for kids
I'm playing the game and notice that it's playing you while you're playing it. I can get two back to back strikes and when it comes to getting a third it won't let me. I don't like that I try to roll the ball with more force and it seems the game slows my rolls down and vice versa. The graphics are nice but for someone that knows how to actually bowl, this game is good for kids that just want something to do while sitting in a waiting room.
JDO-L1,
Super fun
This bowling game is so much fun. Just like being at an alley. I never got addicted to a game but I am. Keeps me entertained and when I want to play late at night and not disturb my husband sleeping, I just turn off the sound.
