My Oil Cabinet Hack 2.2 + Redeem Codes

So i plunged and bought the app so i could keep track more so for the oils i run out of and need to order. Wish there was a way yo select several different oils at a time to add to the cabinet if they are all at the same level (ie: new). It seems strange that some new incentive oils are available to add to the cabinet but ones like holiday joy and peace, beautiful, summer savory, red mandarin, kumquat, dill, cumin are all not listed. Lastly it would be nice to have the option to move oils to different locations/cabinets from the list view rather than the icon view only.
It is a simple design and functions okay for the purpose it was designed for ... keeping track of oils you have.

I bought the product but all the oils are available to inventory and there is no way to add a new oil Name So it isn't really ready to keep your inventory of oils. Don’t buy it. I sent in a support ticket but the response was “working on it or adding oils sometime in the future’.

It’s easy to use but would be nice to add more than one at a time. It would also be nice to add items not in your library. Many of the special oils (conference, BOGO, new blends, etc) aren’t there.

I want a single, all inclusive place for my inventory without resort to a spreadsheet.

After reading the description on the App Store, I was thrilled! I thought someone had created a solution to shorten my oil search time! Hooray! Someone has used technology to better my life!

After purchase - I am sorely disappointed.

But, I think of myself as fair, so let’s start with features I like:
It’s easy to create a cabinet and label it. It’s fast to add the oils to the cabinet. The notes function is handy as well. I’m not sure yet how entering the percentage left in each bottle will be helpful to me, but it might appeal to others.
The best part of the app is the wish list. I can add items quickly and review it quickly when my Doterra auto ship order comes due.

However, the app is simply a digital list. It is pretty and alphabetized, but it a tedious process to search for oils as I have to click in and out of each list.

I am better off using my handwritten lists.
Using this app I am unable to catalog Doterra oils that aren’t currently for sale, or add my own blends and homemade personal care products.

I expected an app for searching oils to utilize a search engine similar to those found on websites or other apps.

I have TONS of oils and no way of consolidating them in one location. I have many locations. I am an avid oiler - perhaps this app just isn’t for me.

Here are my disappointments:

1. I can’t search “lemon” and have the app show me how many bottles I have on hand.

2. I can’t search “lemon” and have it show me the cabinets the bottles are in.

3. I can’t add oils and personal care products that are outside of Doterra’s current catalogue - for example: oil blends and personal care items I have concocted. (There have been recent updates allowing for the addition of oils not currently for sale by Doterra.)

Those 3 items signify “search” and “track” for me. I assumed a lot when I read the description - they never said it would do any of that. The description is very clear on everything the app does. I’m acting like a bitter crybaby, I know. I’m also a ridiculous cheap skate. I wouldn’t have taken so much time to write this if I hadn’t spent $4.99.

Another plus for the app and the developers: I sent these same concerns to them in an email. Jeff got back to me quickly and very politely walked me through the features of the app. He also thanked me for my suggestions on bettering the app. I’m crossing my fingers that it gets an overhaul.

So, if I were to rate the app based on the functions as stated: 5 stars.
Rating as far as being user friendly: 5 stars.
Rating compared to another inventory app I have purchased with searching capability (I paid $5.99 for one that searches and tracks food in the fridge, freezer, pantry): 1 star.
Rating as it helpfulness for me personally: 1 star.
And that is how I arrived at 2 stars.

Running IOS 13.3
Every time you scan a barcode on DoTERRA bottle the app crashes and closes. When you relaunch app none of the oils are in the cabinet. Total waste of money!!!!

I’ve had the app for awhile ( back when i got a free version) but never got around to utilizing it until I found 8 bottles of unopened lemon oil I had forgotten about and realized I desperately needed to get them in my app and organized! (When I tried to use the free one it wasn’t supported anymore so I splurged and bought the new version) I have a large collection of oils so it took me the better part of a morning to go through them. It was easiest to make one “ cabinet “ called general and add them all there and then move them to my other “cabinets” as I decided where I wanted what. It has a QR code reader in the app so that definitely helps the process as all the newer products have a code on them! They haven’t added the ability to do older or discontinued items but when I emailed I got an answer saying they’re working on adding this feature! Yay!!! Jeremy was extremely nice and helpful answering my questions. I also like that this version has the ability to add supplements, personal care items and things besides just the oils themselves. Excited to see what the new updates bring! I don’t purchase apps often but this one was worth it to keep me from ordering 8 bottles of the same oil again! Lol
