A Great Tool for Wet Shavers!
I had been using another app for logging my inventory and shaves and it worked well enough, but was a little basic and clunky. My Shave Den takes it to another level! The interface on My Shave Den is clean and intuitive and a lot of fun to use. The developer is very responsive and updates the app often with lots of useful features. Adding new gear and logging shaves (with photos and notes, if desired) is a snap and you’re able to easily search all of your stuff (including notes!) and share your shave with one tap. It even syncs with my iPad automatically. Slick! Buy the Pro version, you won’t be disappointed!

Best available but still needs some work
1. Asks for feedback too much. If I dismiss it, don’t ask again. I dismissed it on purpose 2. Auto-complete would be great but I understand the difficulty of the database that would be required. Maybe just autocomplete based on local entries rather than a central online database of vendors. 3. Personally I think auto-filling the hardware on the daily shave entries based on the previous day would be safe. Handy for those who have less hardware (I only have one bowl) and it wouldn’t be any more steps for those who want to change it anyway. 4. How about making a way to see stats on the shave ratings given for specific equipment? I’d like to see my average shave rating for each razor for example. 5. I noticed that when I changed the name of a piece of hardware, I lost usage stats.

Informative, fun app for tracking and creating shave logs
The setup took some time, adding everything from my physical den to the app, but it’s nice to have the information, scent tags, pictures and everything in one place. This also helps me track my blade usages, so I know when to toss them out and replace them.
One recommendation I have: changing the usage percentage to be based on item usage / total shaves, instead of item usage / total item usage within each category. For example: I have menthol crystals listed in additional cares, and that’s my only item in the category. I have three shaves logged, and I’ve used the crystals once. My usage percentage on those is 33%, but the app shows 100% usage, since for the other two shaves, I didn’t select anything from the additional cares category. It would just be a more accurate way of tracking how often items are used.
Also, the camera function could use some work. When taking a picture of the equipment, the photo frame isn’t what the actual picture shows - it cuts a lot of picture off at the bottom. I’ll often have to take 3-4 photos to make sure my spacing is right for the automatically cropped final photo.

60+ shaves in and this app is still wonderful. Got the Pro version and haven’t looked back. Updates have been timely and with good/needed corrections or added features. Feedback was acted on and minor (but good) changes were made.
So far I love using this app. It will get better as I use for my daily shaves and start adding more hardware & software from my shave den to the app. I was using a paper version, shave log by Spearhead shaving. But I finished my 3-book set. ;-)

Almost Excellent, but could be better
When was the last update?? There’s a few user friendliness issues that could be updated like a tutorial on how to use it. Took me ten minutes to find out how to add items to my shave den. I thought you could search products and then add them, I didn’t know you had to enter them manually.
But after I got over those speed bumps, I’m using it after every shave! 👍

A must have for all shavers!
The UI is very clean and easy to use. Being able to catalog my shave products has helped me take my den with me everywhere. The Roulette feature adds a challenge to the shave as well. Also the share feature of my shave of the day helps cut my Instagram typing when share my latest SOTD photos. Can not speak enough greatness of this app.

I’ve been using this for a month or two and absolutely love it! I especially like how you can copy your SOTD and paste it to your groups. I only wish the photo you assign to the SOTD would copy also so I didn’t have to go into my photos twice. I highly recommend this app to all wet shavers!

Then one thing I’d like to see improved is the den setup vs shave. When you enter anything into the den ie: razor, there is details you can enter and even add a picture but when you go to select your shave of the day, the only thing displayed is the name. It would be nice the see the picture and entered details instead of a drop down box with names. You have to take and add a separate shave of the day photos. I know the app is not expensive but definitely needs some changes or updates...

A great companion to you SOTD!
This app looks great and is fun to use. The use counts and stats are great for tracking the life of your soaps and comparing how many shaves you can get from each puck. It’s also nice to be able to scroll through and see pics from the previous SOTD entries.
