Boffo at the box office!
Glad to see some of the improvements on this app. Best one is the ability to change from eco to tour to turbo on the smartphone.

It’s great. This app has come along way from 2019. Congratulations to the app team at Mahle.

Not that bad.
I have had very few issues with the app. It has performed as advertised. I think the app is a work in progress and has probably improved since the initial reviews. That said I would like to suggest a few improvements. One thing I dislike about the Mahle iWOC controller is the inability to go from level 3 to level 2 without cycling through off and one. It would be nice to select the desired boost level directly in the app. Second it would be nice to connect the app to a cadence counter. And finally the app is a battery hog. Not sure if that can be fixed. I probably need to attach an external battery to my iPhone.

App is poorly designed
Of the three things you need the easily see as you ride an e-bike, #1 has to be the assistance level, which you constantly charge as your riding. This is a tiny colored dot at the bottom on the screen. On this app, it’s hard the read or detect the color. The 2nd is battery level, which is small but OK. (It could have been larger & color coded to the bikes battery level (white, green, yellow, ect.) but it’s not. The speed is big & in the middle so that has the best visibility but of course, it’s not something you need to operate the bike. Also, this app randomly come up in metric units( even though it’s set to English units) and you have to stop & reconfigure it. Finally, the app seems to need cellular coverage to start up so depending on location it can take 10 or 15 minutes to load. And one more annoying feature(?). About every third ride, it has logged me off, so I have to re-log in (user name & PW please) and for some stupid reason, it’s designed so that iPhone automatic facial recognition password system doesn’t work (even though it’s turn on for this app) so I have to look it up manually. Also I should warn you that the app is a power hog. On a 1 yr old Apple iPhone 13 pro, a 1.5 hour ride completely drains the battery from full charge.

Total miles risen is broken
Been using the app for nearly a year since Nov 21 At first it was happily collecting total miles on the bike then it reset itself around July to zero yet partial individual rides showing from April. After 3 months it reset itself again to zero yet still showing individual rides from April Another issue is it says it’s sending updates to Strava and from Aug 22 to current it doesn’t update. The other features seem to work, motomaps, speed, distance. Having a total mile log is helpful for all kinds of reasons particularly maintenance. I contacted Mahle but never received a response

BRING BACK EBIKEMOTION APP!!
Old app was great. If you just bought a bike with this battery and are trying to figure out the app, take the bike back while you still can and get a different e-bike. Too late for me as bad the bike for several months before old app was shelved for Mahle app. Mahle app does not work. If it seems like it is, trust me, it won’t continue. I’ve had all the same issues other here have. Had to take to dealer for blinking purple light and bike not working at all. Got it fixed where bike will operate, but I cannot use app so I have no idea about battery life and not always sure what speed I’m on. App keeps trying to get me to set up my bike from new again. I do that, but still won’t work. Please, please, please bring back the old app.

No Apple Watch availability?
Phone app works fine on my 2021 Rocky Mountain Instinct BC, but the new app is NOT available on my Apple Watch. The Rocky doesn’t have a screen, so you need to rely on the app to check power levels, distance ridden, speed, etc. Much more convenient to look at the watch than have to dig out the phone. What gives, Mahle?

Sends link to my email account (that I have on my home computer, not phone). Now you have a time out. Try again later, goodbye. Why the security?
When I finally log in and set a new pw, I drive to my favorite spot to ride and, take out my bike, turn on app and well no cell service. The app won’t work. Why does it need cell service to work. I don’t know.

Bad app
All I want is to know the distance , battery percentage and range when I take a ride on my Orbea ebike. It is incredibly frustrating to try to get that info. It will ask me to link my already linked bike. It will ask me to link a pulsometer.
There is no obvious way to get the info I want although I occasionally stumble upon it. I asked a technician at an ebike store and he couldn’t figure it out either. It is a poorly designed and badly functioning app.
