In order to reduce the memory footprint, we removed the lighter from myLite. However, we were inundated with email requesting that we put the lighter back in. You have spoken and we listened. We are inserting a new and improved lighter back into myLite. Be sure to listen for the sound of the flint as you stop and start the flame.
We welcome your ideas and feedback. If you would like to vote on other functions that will go into future versions of the myLite, please go to www.seethemylite.com and give us your input (see the Poll in the lower right corner).

Ways to hack myLite LED Flashlight & Strobe Light for iPhone and iPod - Free
Still not as much functionality as before. Also, the other one was quicker to use. It's much quicker to slide a slider than click the screen 20x to change brightness. I don't know why people always need to try to fix something that's not broken. You will get your 5 stars back when you add in the rest of the old features and effects. Next time try improving an app instead of re- working it completely. You want to make a complete change? Then make it a whole new app!
California Candy,
Audio ads are a terrible idea
I liked this app. I've had it installed for a long time and I kept reinstalling it with each new device that I obtained. However, I will be uninstalling it today due to one reason: audio ads. Look, when do people generally use a flashlight app? In the dark, maybe? And is it really such a stretch to believe that when people are using a flashlight app in the dark, blaring an audio ad at them full volume is a bad idea because there just might be other people that your user is trying to not disturb? Ads are fine. I understand ad-driven apps. But lose the ads with blaring audio. That's awful.
JSB1983,
Simple and easy no in app purchases
This app won me over because it has the ability to adjust the brightness on the iPhone LED flashlight and offers the ability to use the screen as an on-screen flashlight. Don't expect too many color options for the on screen flashlight as this is a clean and simple app. I really appreciate that this app does not use in app purchases as I am highly annoyed by such "options".
Ebrain1,
A step up
I retract my earlier comment about this app offering nothing unique. It does blend usability and a wide range of features into a visually pleasing package. That being said, you've got to add the multi-color flash effects back in. I used to love wowing my friends with the epilepsy-inducing police car function and throwing miniature rave parties with the rainbow function. You guys should be happy that us reviewers are giving you a development roadmap towards 5-star reviews, and you're currently halfway along that roadmap, so keep chugging!
billsebas,
Needs some markings to inform you about swiping
Either this happened when I last updated, or I accidentally swiped and didn't realize it, but for a couple days I was mystified that my camera light wasn't working and MyLite had become strictly a screen light app. I came here to write a review and complain and realized all I needed to do was swipe from the edge of the screen. Now it's back to normal, and now I like it again.
If there were some marking to suggest a screen swipe to switch mode, that would help a lot. Thanks!
AngelAlle,
Okayy
We used this for a low budget rave, glow in the dark parties and black out parties. The light is bright and looks good in pitch blackness, but I was sad after finding out there was no way to have it flash all the colours. You could only pick one at a time. We had multiple phones and iPods but it still would've been better if it had a multi colour option that goes with the strobe.
DaGoonzOfCo,
Fun and easy to use
I downloaded this app because I wanted something simple yet entertaining for my daughter to mess around with. Both I (a grown man), and my daughter (3 years old), love messing around with the different colors and settings. Just don't let your kid have it while sitting in the back seat or the flashing red/blue lights will make you think you're getting pulled over! Haha.
Omg12345678910987654321,
Plz plz plz
I am only giving this app two stars because it doesn't work on my iPod the way I want it to but other ppl seemed to like it okay so I just decided on two stars. I really need an app that has a flashlight on the outer camera and works for an iPod touch. If you are reading this and know an app that has a camera flashlight that works for either the iPod touch 4 or 5 plz write a review saying it. Or can the company make this app work with the outer camera for the iPod 4 or 5
Anna.Venz,
Simple IS more!
I've downloaded other apps before but none have ever seemed to be as bright as this one. The whole half of my master bedroom lights up with this light! The settings are super self explanatory. I even love the simple solid colored strobes!!! Only bummed that the strobe from the "flash" stops when the "color strobe" pops up (hence the 4 stars.) Other than that, loving it.
PipeSmart,
Not that bad
Many of us feel disappointed with the last update, however the functionality of this app still render us as it was before. Maybe the developer find difficulties with this update. Lets wait for their immediate action.
