Description

Having trouble managing your photos and videos? MyPics is an album app that has been improving for over 10 years.

MyPics organizes your photos and videos in albums (folders) and allows you to quickly hide and save data you don't want others to see with a few simple operations. Your important data is protected by a passcode, so your privacy is well protected.

## Fit for people like this

- People who want to organize their photos and videos with an easy and simple app.
- People who have a problem with their family or friends viewing their camera roll without their permission.
- People who have too many photos and can't find the one they want to see.
- People who are looking for a safe album app.

## Recommendations

(1) Secure data design
Photos and videos imported from the camera roll are not compressed, but the original data is saved. Exif data such as shooting date and time and location information also remain intact. No photo/video data in the app is sent to the server.

(2) Passcode protection
Locking the app with a passcode ensures that no one can see your important images and private videos. Passcode / Face ID / Touch ID are supported.

(3) Easy importing
You can import photos and videos from the Photos app in a batch. Imported photos and videos can be easily deleted with the auto-delete function. The design is also friendly, allowing users to see at a glance which photos have already been imported.

(4) Folder classification in album format
Photos and videos can be organized by freely creating albums. Multiple albums can be grouped into album sets for easy sorting, and you can freely sort them by date or name.

(5) Dropbox support
You can automatically back up imported photos and videos to Dropbox. The expert version also supports restoring data from Dropbox, making it easy to transfer data to other devices.

(6) Customize to your liking
You can set your favorite photo as the album cover and change the wallpaper by selecting your favorite design from more than 50 different themes.

(7) Easy-to-use image viewer
The size of the preview can be freely changed by pinching in/out, and videos can be played directly with the embedded player in the app. Memo input function and GIF animation are also supported.

(8) Calendar display support
How many photos did I take this month? What did I do this time last year? You can look back on your memories from the unique perspective of a calendar.

(9) Filter Camera
The filter camera is equipped with a filter that applies filters in real time. Enjoy taking pictures that are different from those taken with a regular camera.

(10) Photo Editor and Video Editor
Photos and videos imported into the app can be quickly edited directly in the photo editor and video editor within the app.

(11) File exchange with PC/Mac
Original photos and videos saved in the app can be transferred to a PC using iTunes File Sharing. Data import from PC is also supported.

(12) Convenient search function
Photos and videos can be searched by memo, tag, or file name. Map display is also supported, so you can search for photos by location.

2020-04-04
Thank you for your feedback on the layout changes I made in the last update. Every time I thought it was better at the time of development, but I was sorry because there were various points of lack of recognition. The following adjustments have been made in this update, so I think it's pretty close to what it was before.

■ Thumbnail related
-The aspect ratio of iPad thumbnails has been returned to 1: 1.
-The aspect ratio of iPhone / iPad list format thumbnails has been returned to 1: 1.
-Adjusted thumbnail size of iPhone / iPad list format.
-Adjusted the number of thumbnails in the iPad album list.

■ Option
-The theme setting option has been restored. However, the default light theme feels that the frame does not fit the design, so it is hidden by default.

In addition, I would like to improve various usability in the future, so I would appreciate your opinion in the review. Since I'm developing and operating alone, I can not reply all of them individually, but I do use it as a reference for development.
5.4

■ Changes related to iPad
- Added support for iPad Split View.
- Added support for list format in album list.
- The iPad camera function has been discontinued.

■ Regarding the problem that the resolution is low
We have received reports that the resolution of the imported photos has been reduced since iOS13, but we investigated and found that when iCloud Photo Library is enabled, the original data of My Photo Stream could not be obtained.

The influence range is only import from My Photo Stream, but it was uncorrectable behavior on the application side, so we will correct it if we can find a valid method in the future.
5.3

- Optimized for iOS13.
- Fixed an import bug that occurred on iOS13.
- Fixed a bug that freezes on iPadOS13.

Daver88,
MyPics is amazing!
It took a little time to figure out how to do things in this app because of a somewhat non-standard UI, but I not only found all the usual digital album functions, but when I began wondering if it could do this or that, things that I have long wanted to be able to do in a digital album, in every case the answer was (after some stubborn searching) YES!! All the restrictions I have suffered with in “Photos” are now gone and I am undergoing a revelation in filing and finding and viewing all 5,000+ of my stored photos, short videos, drawings, paintings, and anything else visual. In all honesty, there is not one thing I’ve tried to do with it that it has not done very, very well. The designers seem to have thought of every need, big and small, and they must be people who have had the same issues that we have had, because they KNOW, and they have made them available, easy and very reliable: this app is as solid as a tank.

I see user reviews here that regret that MyPics doesn’t have one or another important function. So I’ve tried those things and I hasten to assure those users that yes, you CAN do that! It just takes some searching, and sometimes looking for stuff in a different place, or way, from what most of us are used to.

For a utility like this masterpiece the price is ridiculous. Try it and you won’t be disappointed. But give yourself time to learn it.
n1cknamesRstup1d,
Exactly what I wanted, thank you!
This app is for everyone disappointed by the default iOS Photos app, and for when you simply want a great third party app to organize and secure your photos, and not be forced into a cloud subscription. I had a hard time finding this app in the App Store; which is a sin - this app should be at the top of the list! Easily create albums from the photos in your camera roll, or from albums you created in iOS Photos. You can select all photos from your old Photos albums and import them easily into MyPics. You can then easily delete them from the Photos app, view and manage them, and optionally secure them with a passcode in MyPics. You will be guided through your options when you create your first album. A very modest $4.99 fee, after you try it for free, allows you to manage an unlimited number of photos - well worth the price! Thank you for making a very user friendly app that does exactly what I want it to do, not what Apple wants it to do!
cms513,
Awesome App but Lacks One Vital Thing
I am giving this app 4 stars because it is truly fantastic and a huge step up from the photos app which leaves a lot to be desired! I got this app yesterday and paid for the premium features of unlimited space and size of photo. I installed this on my phone and ipad and within a few hours had my pics sorted into albums on both devices, checked to make sure my dropbox had uploaded all and then deleted those pics off my photos app and icloud. Now I will use that app for storing unimportant pics or pics before they have been edited and ready to store in a more organized manner. This app is super simple to use and perfect in every way but one. It is also easy to airdrop or share your pictures and a quick press of the finger to put a pic back in the photos app if needed!

Please please please add a way to sync your albums and content between any device the app and dropbox are installed on! It would be MUCH better if I don’t need to do everything twice to keep my album and picture view identical on my phone and ipad. I would be willing to pay an additional fee for this feature on top of what I already paid!!! Please!!! And if you can add touch and face id rather than pincode that would be the icing on the cake along with the option to have some hidden albums too!!!
jhenson2,
Really good app.
I have a iPad Pro 10,iPad Pro 12, and 3 regular iPads. Also 2 iPhones. When I take a picture Apple insists on storing the photo on iCloud and all my devices or it gives me endless grief. I hope Apple is doing this as a convenience and not a moneymaker ( but if they were you would be able to turn it off easier or there would be more granularity in the settings). This is a great app that lets me break that link and store the photos on the device I want it on. I use a thumb drive to back my photos on. Also it lets me easily convert all those Live Photo’s (Apple says you can turn that off but every update turns it back on along with passing traffic, the wind...) to regular images. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t give you the option to delete the photos after you have imported them like many other apps do. Add that feature and I will be thrilled. Thank You for a very good app. UPDATE: the deletion option, among other improvements, was added. I’m a happy camper and giving 5 stars.
hfddtuhb,
Make the default gallery?
Can anyone help me? Maybe the developer or someone using it. I downloaded this app and it seems good so far. My issue this is my first iPhone (a 13 Pro Max) and I can’t get it to ‘see’ anything from this app. It’s like it only reads from the default gallery. When I download pics they go to the default app and not this one. I can manually put pics in the albums for this app but when I try and look for a pic to upload to FaceBook, twitter or any other social media it takes me to the default app to find one. It’s like it doesn’t even read this app. After not being able to figure it out on my own I’ve searched several web sites and it seems they say you can not change from the default photo gallery. But I see people giving reviews here on the App Store about using gallery apps downloaded like this one. Can someone please tell me what I’m missing.
Thank you!
TheOneandOnlyPhat_Pat,
DO NOT USE THIS APP IF YOU VALUE PRIVACY
I loved this app. It was a great file storage app, but in their most recent update they force you to agree to their terms of service to continue using the app. If you don’t agree, the app auto exits. All of the files are just trapped in limbo. It’s a file storage app, what business does Naia Inc. have forcing people to agree to terms of service about their local file storage? From their Ownership of Rights section. “5. Each User shall grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, free, and transferable license with the right to sublicense for the use, reproduction, distribution, creation of derivative work, display and execution of his/her User Contents. Such license granted in accordance with the preceding provision shall remain effective even after the relevant User stops using the Services and/or the User’s Account is deleted.” This means that whatever you or any user stores on the app belongs to them and they can do what they want with it. It’s not like this is cloud storage, this is local storage. Whatever you store locally on the app can be transmitted to them and distributed at their discretion. This is disgusting.
thepcspud,
Fantastic Photo Organization App
Love! Love! Love! this program. I don’t think I could live without it; don’t want to try. I am a wildlife photographer. I edit my photos on the computer, select the best, crop them to a smaller size and copy to my iPad (12.9). The iOS Photos is totally incapable of doing the organization that I require, currently over 10,000 photos, but MyPics has more than fulfilled my desires. The editing tools are also great for further in app touch ups! I use several computer tools for enhanced sharpening but there is no better sharpener than the one in this app. The blur tool could be useful if there was control over the blur intensity which it does not have at this time. I would recommend this app to anyone who is serious about organization of photos!

Just keeps getting better and better!
Wordmahn,
Good, Some Limitations
Much better than the Photo app that comes with my iPad. Editing and organization are superior. We work with a LOT of pics in our business and this has been a must for us. While you can email pics directly out of the app, we can not get the Apple mail app with Gmail or Spark to pull pics from it. As far as I can tell, my email aps will only draw directly from the gallery, not from MyPics. Also, can not get the camera app to send pics directly to it. So, we have to transfer pics back and forth frequently which is awkward. Also, can't save pics from incoming email directly to it. Of course it is free so can't complain too much. I like it FAR better than Apple's Photo app for editing and for organization.

If they would make it more compatible with the other apps, especially, email apps, I'd happily pay a fair price for it. Try it. You'll probably like it.
mobile game man,
For Every Image Lover
After Apple changed the photo album layout to 3 images per row, I went on a search for an app that would let me recreate my photo arrangements and mood boards the way I had them.

I tried many apps and MyPics is the only one that was able to satisfy what I was looking for and more! I now have a much better grip of my photo collections and have several albums with great customization features. If I want to rearrange a photo album and align certain photos with others I can do it with ease. The standard photo library doesn’t actually allow you to arrange the order of photos in albums, it goes chronological only.

(LONG STORY SHORT: If you’re someone who’s particular about their photos and/or make mood board style things - get the app)
osrothen,
Excellent Photo App
Almost all photo management apps are obsessed with date organization to the extent that topic organization is weakened. This app puts topic organization on an equal footing with date organization. You can also give photo image files organizationally meaningful names and arrange photos alphabetically if you want. It deserves 5 stars for this feature alone. It also has a superb photo editor. It does not have sync, but I actually like its automatic backup to DropBox better than sync. That may sound strange, but with alpha organized photos, backup has advantages - a messed up chronological sync only yields a messed up chronological sync! I've tried most iOS photo organizer apps. Nothing comes close to this app.
