NameSelector Hack 2.0.1 + Redeem Codes

Love being able to randomly select my students. I think this app is off to a great start, but is definitely in need of a few updates.
This app needs a lot of refinement. Sound is a very annoying shrill. Requires far too many clicks just to get get to the actual selector. App should open to the selector panel. Too much instructional time is wasted clicking through the menus before you are able to select a student. Erasing a list should require this many clicks, instead it is a simple cluck of the "x" beside the list. This option should be tucked in a menu, not out where you could accidentally bump it (especially when your attention is focused on your class and not your device).

Great app, saves me from having to use Popsicle sticks! However, please make the following updates: allow to edit the class name list and have pop up asking if you are sure u want to delete when canceling a class. I've accidentally hit the X and lost class three times and it's a pain to redo them!

I like the loud noise, so on off switch good idea. The feature I would like to see is when you change to a different app and come back to the selector you do not have to start over. I would like it to keep running in the background while switching to my presentation app. Then when I come back to the selector it would pick up at the same place I left off and keep the history. Thanks great app!!!

I expected more from Kagan. The history of names selected in a list is not retained if you exit the app. The app starts over even if you switch between active apps. So you can't even use Kagan's apps in tandem with each other, such as running the timer app and then switching to this app for a name - your history is lost. Very disappointing. Please invest in some quality programming to bring this app up to the Kagan level of expectations!

This app was great in the beginning and my students love when I put it under the document camera & project it so they can see their names.
Lately it has been crashing and closing every time I use it, not just to select students but when I try to edit or create new lists. Incredibly frustrating that I can't take out names of students who move or add names of new students I get.
Fix the app soon or
I will be deleting and going back to old fashioned popsicle sticks!

I concur completely with Glen below. Fix those things and you'll have a great app. Key is the speed to choose student. During actual instruction there literally isn't any time to fiddle with "selecting a student" and it needs to be instant... Grab the phone, unlock it, and then spin. Bam! Should be that fast to make this app something I could recommend wholeheartedly.

Useful app - just an unpleasant "high pitched" sound while the selector is choosing a name followed by a "ding" when the name is selected. I wish there were other sound options other than just these two or off.

I really like this app. It's fairly easy to add classes (took 2 minutes or so to add each class. I would love to see a grouping feature for when you need quick triads or quads that are not necessarily ability based. Add the grouping feature and it will be perfect!!

Like many I the other reviewers I'd like to see an update with features. I have the selector tools CD, but it would be nice to have the features others have listed. One feature I would love to see is turning absent students "off". Please update, otherwise I <3 Kagan. :)

This used to be my favorite app, in fact I influenced many teachers on campus to purchase it. However, with the new update it now doesn't generate new students when you select next. It keeps the same name. I've deleted the app and tried installing again but it doesn't work. Until this bug is fixed, this app isn't going to be helpful.
