NASB Bible Holy Audio Version Hack 5.2 + Redeem Codes

I used this app for awhile before I decided to rate it. It seems to be just what I need in the daily devotions and of course the NASB version is the one I have used for years and is the best in my opinion. If you are reading the Bible through, this app gives you different ways of doing that. At present I’m reading through chronologically. It helps b
me keep the time frames in order. The app also has other abilities like saving Scripture to Bookmarks or notes while you’re reading them.
I would recommend anyone trying this app to make a decision before passing it over.

The heading tags have been ignored. (Transform the XML tags around them into an H3 html tag or whatever format is used!) To get to a chapter, one has to tap the table of contents, find the book, and then the chapter, OR swipe right or left to turn one page at a time. It would be nice to be able to tap the book title at the top and get the TOC to appear showing the book in the ordered list. That would be helpful if, for example, I’m only reading the gospels. That would be closer to an actual book experience.

The search function is (aside from the translation) what I find to be of value. And that’s enough for me. Though an added bonus would be if the app had a button the user could tap to bring up a random book/chapter or random verse and be encouraged. The Spirit DOES work through tech.

Glad the app does not have too many bells and whistles nor popups. I wish though that i could buy it. I prefer a clean appearance without the ad bar at the bottom.

This is a very good Bible app which has wonderful features to make adjustments in settings. But there is one big flaw.
For example… I do a search for the phrase “old man” and over 100 verses come up because of words that have those words in them instead of only searching for that phrase.
For example…gold , many, manner , told , molded , manifest, Roman , commander and a lot more.
Since there is no choice in the app to communicate with the seller… I went to the App Store to seek to communicate with the owner… and one of the selections is “ report a problem”. I tapped on that and two seconds later I got a message saying “your session has timed out “. Which forces me to use the ability to write a review to get this message to the maker of the app.
Other than this very aggravating problem not being able to look things up, I use the NASB app frequently and even take photos to text fellow believers to encourage them in the Lord in these last days

I just started using this two days ago and at first I was a little frustrated with it I decided to email the developer of the app and she was kind enough to email me back. For those of you who cannot find the play button for it to read the Bible to you it is on the bottom right it is a very small arrow just above the scrolling advertisement. The top left where do you see the three dash lines if you tap on that you can see the table of contents. In the top right there is a magnifying glass that you can use to search specific books of the Bible. I have not used the feature that allows you to take notes so I don't know how well that works. The sound quality is OK it's a little bit staticky but it's also a free app. I wanted something like this so that I could listen to it when I'm trying to sleep or I could read a long while it reads to me.

I am SO glad to have found this app! I’ve seen others over the years for other versions of the Bible, but none that included the NASB! Technically, it’s a five star app for me! However, I’m having trouble being able to easily change the settings of the voices and the speeds at which they speak! I like being able to listen to a specific passage or book but for some reason am struggling with making that happen consistently!

The settings aren’t difficult to change but there is no “support” to reach out to when you have problems! I’m not expecting telephone support, but it seems to me that some type of knowledge base of commonly encountered questions would be a great way to support users!

If something like that could be set up for some of us non-tech people, the app could quickly elevate to 5-Stars!

My iPad is not cooperating so I will just list the problem to cut review short. The verse of the day should not be done completely by AI. Verse of the day should be meaningful. Todays verse as an example is one from Chronicles that just has a partial list of a Geneology. There is not anything edifying from that when reading lines of scripture like this and similar. App is great other than that from what I have seen so far. Came back to add another problem I just found. The AI reader can read the whole contents of a line of scripture but part of some of the sentence is missing when you are reading. Scripture is holy so to me this is not right. Not everyone listens to a bible,so there should never be anything added or taken away. I have learned from this experience.

The app itself is great. However, I enjoy doing a reading plan and the plans offered are good. However, after selecting a reading plan, I have to go back to the plan page every time to select where to start next rather than continuing to unit to page through. So if the plan has a daily reading in different books and chapters that aren’t sequential, I have to leave the reading, go back to the plan page and select where to jump to next. Not a big deal at all but would be nice if it just went where you are to go next in the plan you are on. Also would be great if it showed at the top what each day’s reading was so you know when to switch books or chapters.

One of the most annoying aspects of this app is the fact that the section headings are all mistakenly stuck at the end of the previous verse, which makes for awkward reading. There are also funny characters in them for punctuation (like a backslash where an apostrophe should be).

I like the navigation for the most part. You turn pages to advance chapters and scroll down through the chapter (the same version on the Kindle requires multiple page turns to get through one chapter). I like being able to flip through chapters easily.

I do wish this app had a”back” feature that would take you back to your last location, similar to using a web browser. I’d like to be able to look up a cross reference and then return to where I was reading with a simple “back” button.

The banner ads can be a little distracting, but not too bad. If the problems were fixed, I would pay for the app and then there wouldn’t be ads.

I do like the choices of fonts, sizes spacing, etc. I can make it very comfortable to read.

I enjoy this app because I have it on my phone and I’m busy days it’s an easy access just spend time with the Lord before my day gets started. Specially if I have appointments in the morning I can sit in my car and do my devotions and then go in for my appointment. It also helps me to read through the Bible in a year which is always been my goal. Thank you for putting all this together to make it easier for me and others to spend time with the Lord when we have super busy schedules!

Hate to complain about having God’s Word at my fingertips….but the app does have a some annoying glitches. One of them is the fact that the section headers are not separated from the text when the headers are within a chapter. (Headers at the beginning of chapters are fine, and easily identified.) A small issue, yes; but all annoying. Highlighting and note-taking. As well as font and page layout changes are not as intuitive on this app as with ores I have used, a couple of which are unfortunately no longer supported by Apple. Still, thankful to have the NASB available on an iOS device.
