New Pixels Hack 2023.02.18 + Redeem Codes

I love Mew Pixels and find it a very fun and easy to use app however I wish there was a way to make a gallery for your account. People could then follow you and get notified when you post something new. I also think menus for shapes could be much simpler. Many you select color one of the shape and color two of the shape Manually from a drop down menu type of thing. These are just some suggestions and I hope to see them added in the future. However the game is still great as it is.

New pixels is (sort of?) a pixel art app that lets you create just that, pixel art. Or ‘new pixel’ art, as this app lends a variety of different shaped pixels for you to use. To that extent, it’s a fairly regular artistic app, but with an appealing toolset and color palette.
So all in all, the program/app is good, but as of now it’s flawed. There are color combos missing (example: any light purples with any light blues on some mixed pixels) and seems like it could do with something to lock a color/pixel in so you don’t have to continuously tap white just to put three white pixels next to each other. That said, I do think the app requiring you to do that actually works well as it encourages you to keep your picture simple. It more depends on what the developer is going for I suppose, but it would ultimately be more convenient were you able to do this.
On that note of convenience, the color selector is rather tedious too, as you can scroll through once or twice and completely miss the color combinations you’re looking for (some of which, again, are actually missing) and might it work better if it were some sort of grid that let you choose a primary and secondary color.
The app is nice! It’s a good creative outlet. But I just feel as though there are some rough edges (especially the missing color combos!) that could be worked on.

App is beautiful and user friendly. I run a small record label and E-store; the main art style uses a lot of tiling on square grids. Using New Pixels actually inspired the art direction. I’ve learned though that It’s incredibly hard to make this kind of art in illustrator- New Pixels is the only app that’s doing it.

I realize the software is geared towards casual users and not as much graphic designers, but these are the features I’d love to see:

-it’s tedious to have to reselect tiles every time you draw; would be much more enjoyable if you could continue drawing even if you lift your finger/stylus. Especially for doing diagonal lines.

-Double finger undo + triple finger redo gestures would be cool, I always go for that because I’m used to procreate and affinity designer.

-More undo history, at least one or two more.

-Png or svg support. I get it if it’s a feature that might confuse casual users though.

-Exporting to photos is not working for me. It only works if I share to Dropbox, which is fine but just thought I’d let you know.

Kudos to the developers, it’s a lovely app and can’t wait to use more.

The app itself is brand new and has many flaws. But the art is amazing, and you can make the coolest things if you just put 2 hrs into a beautiful piece of art. But there’s also a twitter page for the app (@NewPixelsApp) that really makes it stand out, you can have casual chats with the creator, participate and weekly challenges, and try to get your artwork featured on Twitter! There’s so much more to this app then meets the eye, so find your art and other’s art and express yourself!

I love working with all the shapes and colors, and I really love going through the cloud gallery to get inspired. Everyone is so creative! Will there ever be a feature to follow artists to see new work by them? Or favorite artists or something, and to be able to go through their galleries? On that note, will there be a way to see hearts/comments left on pictures in our own gallery? Thank you for bringing this app into existence. It's so lovely.

I love this app , but there's very limited colors. The second problem is whenever I try to undo a mistake , I can only do it once. The third problem is that you're able to steal other people's art. Please don't let this beautiful site become like the filth on DeviantArt.

The tools given to make these pixel art drawings are very easy to use. Not only easy, but fun too.

There are only two drawbacks I’ve run into

1) Color Combos
There just simply aren’t all the color combos needed. I had made a character that had an orange at with a yellow background. I either had to keep the hat as blocks or change the background. It’s never fun to compromise like this when creating.

2) Image Quality
When saving images, the pixel art turns a bit fuzzy. It seems odd, considering that these designs look great and clean, then when saved the colors have some jpeg artifacts in it.

Even with these drawbacks, this app is great. Once there is an update or two, this app is a must have.

I’ve been enjoy this app after seeing it recommended by the Washington Post. The art is fun and the shape limitations force you to get creative. Only downsides: 1) missing color combinations are frustrating, especially for some of the more vibrant shades, and 2) to use the gallery you have to give a gender (why?), and it only accepts “male” or “female”. I do not want to give a gender and there’s no reason for it to ask. Overall this is really fun and I recommend it!

I like the game a lot I have been looking for a game to art with and this is pretty great!!! Only problem is that you have a bunch of colors and stuff but you can't make cool and cute figures they look kind of weird. And make sure to paste all the shapes before you start to know what they look like when I first did my figures legs were in it's face it was funny 😂 but before you start know what all the shapes look like. Other wise it is an amazing game !!!

I love the virtual console like feel of the app but some usability things really slows down the workflow and makes it hard to get into a groove. Also the app on my ipad is stuck in a foreign language and whenever I try to change it the app just crashes.
