You are ready to take the U.S. Citizenship test and become a U.S. Citizen, but unsure of the Naturalization Process? This free guide offers all the resources you need to become a citizen.
The U.S. Citizenship test has two components: an English test and a Civics test. The English test includes speaking and understanding, reading, and writing tests. The Civics test covers your knowledge of U.S. government, history, geography, symbols, and holidays.
The guide includes:
1. 100 Civics Questions: Here, you will find the 100 Civics questions and answers with audio files for the 2008 version of the Civics test. These questions cover important topics about American government and history.
2. Citizenship Test: During your Citizenship interview, the USCIS officer will ask you to answer 10 out of the 100 Civics test questions. You must answer at least 6 questions (60%) correctly to pass the 2008 version of the Civics test.
3. English Test - Reading: During your Citizenship test interview, the officer will test your ability to read in English by asking you to read a sentence. You will have to read one out of three sentences correctly.
4. English Test - Writing: During your Citizenship interview, the USCIS officer will determine your ability to write in English by asking you to write a sentence. The officer will read out the sentence, and you will have to write exactly what you heard. You will have three chances to write one sentence in English correctly.
