Description

Imagine having all of your music with you and never having to worry about turning pages...NextPage is designed to let you do just that!

NextPage will help you rehearse and perform better by removing the burden of paper sheet music. Once you’ve loaded your music into NextPage, turning pages is as effortless as swiping or tapping the screen. Need to jump 3 pages ahead or 4 pages back? With NextPage’s Page Link feature you can do just that with just one tap. Rather use your feet? NextPage supports the AirTurn BT-105 wireless pedal controller. The days of worrying about missing a page turn are over!

NextPage was designed and built by a life-long musician/software engineer specifically for live performance and rehearsal. The interface has been painstakingly crafted to be simple and efficient so that you can focus on the music and not worry about the technology.

Version history

2023.3
2023-09-21
- Fixed crash on launch for iOS 15 users related to external display support.
2023.2
2023-09-19
- iPadOS 17 Support
- Fixed issue where last item in song list could not be selected/deselected
- Fixed dark mode cosmetics with AV Player
2023.1
2023-03-13
- Added new setting to automatically add downloaded songs from Dropbox to the current set list.
- Fixed bug in Set List Quick Pick View when multi-deleting set lists multiple times.
- Fixed authorization bug for Planning Center when the OAuth token expires. There is still a known issue with Password Managers causing the PCO web authorization screen to dismiss before the authorization process is complete. The workaround is to sign in without using a password manager.
- Fixed bug where user-created legacy markup tools were no longer being saved.
- Fixed cosmetic bug in Actions Menu when Unlock Everything option is still present.
2022.2
2022-10-25
Version 2022.2 continues our promise to keep NextPage simple and reliable to use. In this release we are keeping up with the changes required by the latest version of iPad OS, and adding a couple of convenience features.

In this release:

* iPadOS 16.1 support
* "Flick to Delete" text annotations
* Multi-delete set lists from the Quick Pick view
* Dropbox authorization modernized
* Planning Center authorization modernized
* External Screen support modernized
* Fixed "Hide Markup" not working
2022.1
2022-05-02
- Fix for the vexing disappearing markups issue!
2021.5
2021-12-06
- Set Lists can now be deleted from the Set List Quick Pick Viewer
2021.4
2021-10-11
- iPadOS 15 support

- Quick Pick sorting by name or last update. Quick Pick also remembers if you used it to pick your last set list and will present itself every time after that until you switch back to Set Cover view.

- Added numerical size indication in Symbol tool. This makes it easy to ensure you're always using the same size symbol.

- "Sticky" symbol placement. Depending on varying skin moisture conditions, annotating music using the Symbol Tool can be challenging in that when you lift your finger, the symbol can sometimes move slightly from where you placed it. This tends to happen more when the moisture level in your finger is higher and results in having to undo/erase the symbol and replace it, only to have the same thing happen again. This, of course, can be maddening. With Sticky placement, if you position the symbol and then hold your finger in position for 1-2 seconds, NextPage will freeze the symbol in place even while you are still touching the screen. This way you can safely lift your finger without the symbol moving. The Symbol tool button on the toolbar now dims while you are placing a symbol, and then brightens either after Sticky placement occurs, or when you place it by lifting your finger quickly as before.

- Conversion to GCKeyboard support (iOS 13+) for detecting Bluetooth foot pedal events to turn pages. This change was required to get foot pedal support working in iOS 15. Also, text annotations can now be entered even when a foot pedal is active. =)

- Fixed crash when renaming song
2021.3
2021-03-15
- NEW! Added favoriting to the Song List. Tap and hold to favorite/unfavorite a song, or use the Song Info screen.
- Fix for Planning Center lyric chart downloads
- Fix for additional Dropbox PDF restore issue.
2021.2
2021-03-01
- Fix for Dropbox PDF restore issue.
2021.1

2020.2
2020-06-01
- Full Apple Pencil Support (Requires iOS 13). To use it, select the "Marker Tool" from the Tool Basket. The Marker Tool supports both the Apple Pencil and your finger. The Marker Tool will eventually replace the finger-only marker tools NextPage has had from Day One. See the Release Notes in Help for more info.
- PCO Set Builder. Automatically build new set lists and download music PDFs based on your scheduled plans in Planning Center Online.
- New "Quick-Pick" feature allows you to quickly load a new set list without scrolling through all of the set list covers.
- Added repeat symbols to the Symbol Tool.

2020-02-17
- Fixed crash that could occur when attempting to restore a backup.
2019.4
2019-11-18

2019.3
2019-10-31
- Fixed crash preventing In-App purchase from working.
- Dark mode fixes.
2019.2
2019-09-26
- iPadOS 13.1 compatibility.
- Dark mode support. NextPage automatically adjusts its appearance to match the iPad's current appearance setting.
- Dark Music. If you turn on this new setting, NextPage will display your music in white on a black background. Any music symbols you've added will also be displayed in white. You must deliberately turn this setting on even if your iPad's appearance setting is set to Dark.
- To go along with Dark Music, existing markup shapes (music staff, arrows, boxes, etc.) can now have their appearance changed. For example, if you've marked your music with the music staff shape in black, you can now change it's color to white or any other color that works well for you in dark mode. See the release notes inside the app for details.
- Audio player bug fixes.
2019.1
2019-08-06
- Adjustments to support iPad Pro hardware.
- "Stretch Music Vertically" setting added for iPad Pro 11. Some users reported that they prefer their music not be stretched to fit the additional screen height on iPad Pro 11. This setting can be used to tell NextPage not to use it.
- Properly relocate markups and annotations when restored to an iPad of a different size. You may need to use the "Adjust Markups" feature which can be found by tapping on a song's title while NextPage is displaying the song.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes turning off the Audio Player, then later turning it back on would result in the wrong audio file being selected.
- Fixed odd cases where Audio Player wasn't showing/hiding properly.
- Fixed improper behavior of Set List delete gesture (upward flick).
- Fix for iPad keyboard randomly appearing on screen.
- In "My Sets", all set list covers are now refreshed after files are downloaded and the download popover is dismissed.
- In "My Sets", using the download feature now allows the use of iCloud without requiring Dropbox to be linked.
- Symbol Tool adjusted to not begin placing a symbol until after the symbol selection popover menu has been dismissed.
- Dropbox is no longer automatically linked when selected from the Songs List tab bar - the "Link" button on the toolbar must be used. Once you have linked to Dropbox using the Link button, it will remain linked just as before unless you intentionally unlink it.
- Under the hood: Prep work for iOS 13, UI conversion to Storyboards, accommodated Dropbox API changes, UI tweaks for iOS 11+ safe area layout.

Anibalcruzc,
Very good app
I would like to contact you directly, but I couldn’t find the way.
I’m having troubles importing my pdf from Dropbox. Can you help in some way?
Thank you very much!
Angry-ING-banker,
Glitchy
Used the original version for many years, but once I got a new iPad I had to update to NP3. It cost more but to my disappointment, certain large pdf files glitch out and refuse to open unless dragged around and re-arranged in order. The developer was nice in email exchanges but I suppose this bug has never been fixed in the last year? I need to have many scores loaded, ready to go along with requests possibly added on the gig. The old app worked perfectly fine, so it’s a shame this has been an issue. I’ve been forced to move onto other apps. Frankly the app’s layout and options are a bit dated as well.
Kita Wia,
Great App
I have been using this app for approximately three years on stage and off. It’s uses seem limited only to your imagination. I constantly find new ways to use it to develop skills. Sharing music with others, notating and a host of other features in the tool box are of much greater value than the price. Highly recommended and if there were more than 5 stars NextPage would receive them.

Simply the Best
I play in an acoustic duo and gig around three times a month. At my age, that's plenty. I got tired of lugging "the book" around and the dead air that accompanied each search for the next tune. NextPage is a Godsend. So very simple, yet so practical. Just enough useful tools without being top heavy. Works flawlessly with a PageFlip Butterfly. I had a connectivity issue on a weekend and I received a response Sunday. Sweet.
Jimbow2000,
Keeps closing down
Have an iPad Air model MF529LL/A. This used to work fine until I started to make more than one set list. Now it won’t start up or it will start up and close down within 30 seconds. When it worked it was good. Now it is useless. Can’t even get to the help screen to contact developer.
mtndan,
Functional
The app does a pretty good job. It would be nice if it would import common jpeg files. It would also be nice if the help screen contact link actually led to an email or phone number. It does not. So you are left hanging. At least, I could not find any way to send even a comment.
mlukens17,
Dropbox Crash
New version crashes every time I try to access Dropbox.
JCHyde12345,
I love this program!
I play lead guitar in a praise band, without it, I’d be turning pages, and that is no bueno! Outstanding support!
LeChard,
New use for a Good App!
I've been using Next Page with air turn for a few years. It works great for me, and I have over 450 songs in my library. But I've recently discovered a new non-musical use!

I make training films, and frequently need to use a script. I have the large I-Pad Pro, and I write the script in Word for Windows, then save the document as a PDF file. I import it to Next Page and lay the I-Pad side ways (land scape). Using Air Turn, I scroll through the script while filming. It works great, and can be read from a distance if you use large letters in writing the script.
drutelbee,
It’s a scam
Do not buy this app it does not work. This is the first app I have tried to buy and what a terrible experience.
