A great alternative to sitting in the stands.
I like the option of being able to watch stuff when I can’t travel or attendance is limited. The automated cameras are mostly reliable but can cause a bit of motion sickness when they are chasing nothing. I do wish that it either moved you to the next event on the schedule at that location. Rather than just stopping the video making it look like it is buffering. So make sure at the end of the event you are watching to back out and watch the next event so you don’t miss anything!
While browsing some of the many options I have noticed MANY hours of empty content. Dark fields, or gyms or even the occasional phys Ed class lol. The developers may want to look into these to help them free up some server space.

Do not buy yearly subscription
I am so thankful I didn’t buy the yearly subscription. I chose monthly and am now cancelling my subscription before I waste any other money. I planned to watch an important game with my elderly parents and the game never showed! It said delayed until about an hour later when they finally just didn’t even show the game available to view anymore and deleted it from the lineup. Emailed support with no response. The last game we streamed the score never updated. I didn’t expect the highest quality for this service, but I didn’t think I would be subject to missing an entire game either. I can deal with the sound being off on some games or the score not updating, and even the camera not panning correctly. Im just not prepared to continue to pay money and HOPE it airs every week with no recourse if it doesn’t. I will say that one of the games we watched was very well broadcasted to where the announcers were audible and I felt as if I was at the game. So I suppose it depends on how well each school’s A/V is set up but that wasn’t my understanding when I signed up for this service. If you’re willing to take the chance that your game airs, then it may be worth it for you.

Rating depends on what you are watching
This has such a range of service, it is hard to describe any single experience and apply it to all. For football, if your team is playing at home and you can’t attend the game, you are in luck. Play-by-play is well done by radio announcers in your booth; can’t remember if the score is kept up with at the bottom of the picture or not. For away games, forget it. Tonight, no score update, no quarter update, no time update, only crowd noise was heard. I listened to the game broadcast by my local radio announcers who were ahead of the game by at least two plays! Made for an interesting night. I have tried to watch volleyball games and just gave up. No one describing what is going on, no updates. You just watch and hopefully you know enough to be able to figure things out. This has cameras in the sports arenas so you can be a part of the action, but it’s VERY frustrating to try to keep up with, especially if there is no way to keep score. By contrast, GPB Sports has it all OVER this when covering games and updating scores. Maybe NFHS could learn a few things from them.

Broadcast Problems
This was my first experience using NFHS this 2020 football season. Although I was able to watch some of my team’s games satisfactorily, more than half the time live broadcasts were unexpectedly unavailable (no explanation given...I was referred to the seller - Apple Apps in this case - for any refund I desired. I did not request this, but instead I suggested some reasonable concession) and/or totally unsatisfactory to watch due to technical feed issues (video buffering, tiling and skipping). Last night’s playoff game was affected throughout by these issues including garbled, unlevel sound (on announcer sounded muffled and the other was really loud) and black screen every 15 seconds or so through out. The replay I watched today worked better however the volume issue remains and constant video skipping.
Since our season has come to an end, I went to stop the subscription for the year but haven’t uncovered exactly how to accomplish this. The NFHS App refers you to the selling source which I’ll figure out.
Alas I would probably buy again next year, betting on improvements will be made.

Unstable
The idea is awesome. and during COVID it has been great to watch games I wouldn’t have been able to watch. However, the app constantly buffers, which I know may have something to do with my connection. Although other streaming apps work just fine. The other major annoyance is that I get the message “Oops looks like you are streaming on another platform etc....” I know without a doubt that no one else is streaming while I am. Just to be safe I have changed my password twice and it still happens. I’m trying to watch my daughters basketball game from last night on demand and have been kicked out more then a half dozen times. Each time I get back in the app restarts the stream from the beginning so I have to fast forward to the point I was at. Currently I’m starting at a blue spinning circle while I can hear my wife streaming a yoga class in the next room (so connection is just fine). I purchased the year subscription and the app is basically unwatchable. A giant waste of $75!

HS Sports App
I had to finally try this company. Reviews on the app are bad. I dislike using the app. Seems more difficult to navigate and find games. I use the standard site. Some streams aren’t great. I watch high school football and the majority of games have been great. Seems dependent on the school. They post their streams. I just watched Norfolk Catholic vs. Ord 2022 and had absolutely zero issues. Broadcast was excellent.
I scout players. I need to access to games. I’m glad I attempted to use NFHS. I should have months ago.
I will reiterate that the games streams are dependent on the school. Some are perfect. Others…well, not as useful. Use the standard site. Try it out for a month. If the teams you are interested in have good streams, great. I ONLY use NFHS for high school football.

At least we have an option
I rated the app a 3 because at least it does give fans an option to see a game broadcast if they cannot make the game. Otherwise, I was not impressed. There was no play-by-play or commentary. There was no score update. There was no quarter or time clock update. You just watch a video feed of a game and have no idea where you are in the game. We did find a radio station that was doing a broadcast so we tried listening to the radio while watching this app but they were not the same. This app will stop with advertisements at random times and not catch up or save their advertisements for timeouts or between quarters. So it is not necessarily “live”. It was glitchy and we kept looking the feed. I really wasn’t impressed and if there is another option, I will always choose another option.

Great concept but poor execution
NFHS Network is a great idea and is awesome…. When it works. More than half the time the games don’t load or you will be watching a game and it will freeze and the get stuck on a repetitive loop so you get to watch the same two minutes of a game over and over. The customer support never has answer floor why not do they ever seem to fix it. And if there are a lot of people logged in and watching it only gets worse and worse. Tournament time is awful but it is always the device that your are watching on or your internet speed. Seems a little funny how you can stream any other provider and not have an issue and can stream the on all different devices and not have an issue but NFHS always has some sort of issue.

Worked great until the finals came on.
Whoever decided to put a time limit on a live event is a freaking genius! (Sarcasm) I’m watching my two nephews wrestle in the conference tournament and as I expected they both make it to the finals against kids that have beat them either this year or last. So I’m excited to see it! But guess what? The geniuses at NFHS Network thinks having a time limit not even close to the length most wrestling tournaments take to finish is a great idea. So not even half way through the consolation round the live stream ends! Guess I paid to watch one of three rounds since the first round the camera was zoomed in to the out of bounds area between the two mats. FIX THE PROBLEM OF THE STREAM ENDING BEFORE THE EVENT DOES!!! It’s in every bad review on here! It probably takes a couple clicks of your mouse to fix it. I will be demanding my money back for this poor excuse of a network.

Piece of dookie
I purchased this app last week. I have tried to watch three games. The first game I was able to see the entire game. The second game the lens was 1/2 clogged up with fog so I couldn’t see anything going on in the right hand of the screen. The game also completely cut off at varsity halftime which ruined the entire experience of trying to watch the game. This is my third game. The entire game the camera has been focused on the bench. I have no idea how this app is making any money or how to report any issues. Good idea, but ridiculous experience. I wish I could submit photos. Don’t waste money, terrible. I’m currently watching the refs chat at halftime, with a double image. Also, none of the scores come through or the time so impossible if you want to get some highlights of your kid for recruiting.
