NiBoard: Notes & Sketches Hack 5.0.1 + Redeem Codes

I have this app downloaded for those occasions where I need to sketch while explaining something to a friend, and it serves that purpose quite well. I understand that the old icon was quite abstract, but I think this new one misses the mark a bit. My main gripe is that it looks more busy (especially because of the shadows). This is such a minor complaint so I still would like to give 5 stars, but I would appreciate if you added an option to choose the old app icon within settings. Thanks for making this app!

This app has BIG problems. If you switch apps then switch back, or if you lock the device, or if you rotate the screen, it erases your drawing sometimes. So you need to save your work. But the app doesn't support reloading a picture and drawing on it. It's impossible to take a break and finish the drawing later. If you draw something, you better make sure it fits on the page. There's no way to extend the drawing in any direction. There's no way to move anything or scale the picture to fit more. If you get to the edge of the page you're going to need to erase it and start over. I wanted graph paper. And you need to get the pro upgrade to have graph paper. Literally the only thing Grid mode does is give you a grid background. It's about 30x20. You can't change the size. Again, there's no way to extend the drawing or scale it. You're stuck with 30x20 ... except that there's a bug where if you rotate the device then rotate it back it'll give you a distorted asymmetrical 20x30 grid instead.

The layout is almost perfect except you have to click a 3 dot menu to change from lines, to free hand, to shapes, etc. When teaching it is important to not be hampered by clicking to many things, and keyboard shortcuts would be even more preferable.

Also, there appear to be only 7 colors available...why? One of the reasons I want to draw on a screen is to save money from buying dry erase markers; but there are more color options for a dry erase marker than on a computer with 12 million color possibilities? Please allow us to add as many colors as we need, and maybe even let us change them by number key.

I also don't understand what the mobile phone icon does on the screen or why it deserves such prominence with everything else that I've mentioned is behind a menu.

The ability to upload our own background image would be great, although I don't really use that a lot, I think it could open up a whole new way to explain things.

I really like the design skeleton of what you all have done so far, but please consider adding these options I've mentioned and I think you will have the best whiteboard app on the App Store!

I was looking for a whiteboard app that was straightforward, easy to use, and wasn’t overloaded with features all over over the place. This app filled that niche perfectly, and I upgraded to pro almost immediately.

It would be awesome if there was an additional setting to block touch-based drawing (only draw with the Apple Pencil).

This is simple to use with a wacom Intuos pen and pad on a Mac. I would like to see a few more things added while keeping this nice, simpler interface. I have the PRO version.

* photo - after drag and drop, ability to resize or crop.
* fill - this would be for shapes. the default fill color could be transparent
* font size - I'd like to drag the box to expand or contract for size.
* save - I didn't see a way to save and resume work, other than to export to PDF.
* arrow lines - option for arrows at both ends
* infinite canvas - really just as large as is needed to frame the stuff I draw. We get a bit stuck when we are at the edge and there is no more room.

I think the app has a lot of promise. It's at version 7, so hard to tell if will see more than just bug fixes.

It is simple and so small application that I didn't think too much to purchase it. But a few things are lacking to my taste: first, I want a pen thickness a bit bigger than the thinnest one but thinner than the meddle one. So five pen tip sizes would be nice or a slider may be? The text part is bad. You can't even change the font size let alone making superscripts or subscripts that I need in my chemistry teaching. And you have to deselect text option and selecting something doesn't deselect it. Sometimes it confuses me a lot.

I like it. It is simple change basic colors, backgrounds, and tools. It has been very helpful for math computations, but I only wish for 3 things to make this better: a longer page or some way to add a page to my board for longer computations, a more precise eraser, since I might want to remove a line or a number without affecting the other work, and less struggles with changing from a black to pencil colors as It takes several tries to get a purple, for example.

Hello! I'm using this app to teach over Zoom, and it's great. Zoom doesn't have keyboard shortcuts, which NiBoard does (that's why I downloaded). One request: could you add a keyboard shortcut to clear the board (the red trash icon)? This would greatly help me with my workflow. Thank you!

The only reason I'm giving it one star is because I attempted to use it the way I wanted and I got prompted to purchase the Pro version instead - Not Cool!

I don't have a problem paying $5 if it's useful, however, I wasn't even able to determine that because a User isn't given an opportunity to try the features.

This isn't the only App that is limited like this; If you want people to subscribe offer a free week trial! Don't just make your App signifcantly limited to unsubscribed users! Bad business practice!!

How can this be a macOS app with no Edit menu. No ability to select and move drawn items? No Font menu to change the font, size, style and size of text? I was looking for a simple drawing app where I could draw lines and text, and a few shapes. Align them, and print the page when complete. That's extremely basic and this doesn't even come close.
