Puzzlinzin,
I have 2 fave games. This is 1.
EDIT:
Game has been lagging. Like my taps do nothing for several seconds then all edits appear at once. I have the latest updates and I restart my phone occasionally. Lagging continues. Any idea what is happening?

ORIGINAL:
I only notice my phone getting hot when I play this game. I’ve had to stop playing for a while to get it to cool off. It bugs me a lot because I love playing this game. I’ve tried many versions of this game but only this particular one and one another one weren’t bogged down with ridiculous numbers of ads. I don’t mind ads because everyone needs to feed their families. But there’s a balance this app has with play time and ad time. Cursor control can be tricky. 20 x 20 is tough for hitting boxes I want to hit. I’ve only tried 1 of the 25 x 25 on my 8 plus. Idk if I can do that regularly. I was undoing more than I was doing. Well it seems my phone has cooled back down, so time for more puzzles. Ty 😊
Clarissasoysauce,
Favorite Nonogram App by FAR
I fell in love with nonograms years ago off a website that I used religiously - but I always wanted to find an app that mirrored it. This one hits all the marks - actually challenging puzzles (so many nonogram/picross apps never go above 15x15), TONS of puzzles with more being added all the time (I've been playing consistently for over a year and haven't come close to finishing), and a UI that is actually usable. I find that just trying to drag with my finger is so inaccurate especially on a small screen, and so the control pad is a godsend, and so easy to use. Like others said, it does eat your battery quickly, so play it plugged in, but it is one con to an otherwise perfect app. 100% recommend!

EDIT: I really really hate to remove a star from my rating, but with the newest update, the app will NOT stop freezing! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG! It makes the app completely unusable and I can't give a game a 5 star review if I can't play it for more than 45 seconds at a time, sometimes as little as 10 seconds before it freezes. App developers, I'm begging you to fix this so I can go back to playing my favorite game!
screenhobi,
PERFECT app except for freezing
Seriously two weeks ago I could not recommend this app enough. It is, far and away, the BEST nonogram app, I love these puzzles so I have tried quite a few apps and none of them provide such a clean interface with no intrusive ads. Really just perfect for anyone who wants classic puzzles and no nonsense. I’ve been playing this for months now and I got just over halfway through the 2,000+ puzzles available.

UNFORTUNATELY in the last couple weeks this app started freezing on my phone after only a minute or two of use. I tried restarting the app, restarting my phone, even uninstalling the app (losing ALL my progress) and reinstalling. I can only hope that the lovely developers will fix this because I will gladly start my puzzles from the beginning if the app would quit freezing. Until then I can’t even touch it.
xsoter,
Favorite Game
This is my absolute favorite game. Most games come and go. You download it and play intensely for awhile and then just give up. But this game has lasted longer than the rest and I still play it nearly everyday. It’s arguably the best nonogram app out there. The functions for auto fill make it so much faster and cleaner. The joystick makes the larger boards 10x easier to play on. And the organization of the game lets you feel super accomplished after finishing a board which no other app really does. I’ve finished out the normal mode almost two times and always count down the days until there’s new boards to do.

A great challenge, really easy to do when bored or watching tv. Love it a million. I’d be a spokesperson for this game if I could.

Best Nonogram App
I’ve been playing this app for a while now, and I really love it. I love the big mode ones and after completing the ones in this app, I went to try some other nonogram apps while I wait for the next update. The difference was night and day. Nonogram999 EASILY has the most user-friendly, easiest to use UI. The settings are intuitive and menus are easy to navigate. There isn’t a bug in sight. Its well organized and easy to play without becoming frustrated. I’ve get to find another nonogram app I could say the same about, and I’ve tried quite a few. I’m so glad this app updates so often, and I love the pixel art in every update. Thanks!
Joshuason5,
App freeze on Ads
Certainly not attempting to bring a negative to this great game. I’ve put in endless hours enjoying the puzzles and it’s the most dynamic version I’ve seen out on iOS. Love the game. Within the last week however the app is freezing when ads play and when I restart the app it loses progress of my puzzle and then freezes shortly after beginning a puzzle. It becomes an endless loop of closing, re-opening and freezing.

I rate this game so highly because I’m by no means attempting to bring a negative light to this wonderful game but rather bring light to a current bug/issue with the app. I hope to see a fix and will continue to enjoy this game as I have for years.
Reviwer67,
Overall good...
But it's frustrating to click for a hint and you can't tell what is needed in the square that is highlighted.

Edit: This game has grown - so many puzzles to do, different ways to mark the boards to figure out where the filled squares are, etc. I like that you can watch an ad to get a hint, so that I am in control of how many ads I watch. And buying hint coins is fairly cheap, so I can buy a bunch at the beginning of a month and keep playing. I’d love an option to use a different marker, like * or ?, or a different color to mark ‘maybe’ squares that I’m unsure of, but that would get me through the rest of the boards faster than new ones are added, I think.
DjTeacup,
Freezing Makes it Unplayable
I loved this app. It has so many puzzles and it’s the easiest Nonogram app to control on a small screen. But after I got farther along the screen began to freeze up and crash. Sometimes it would even undo all the progress I made particular puzzles. Thankfully, after uninstalling (and restarting all of my puzzles) it would save whatever progress I made even if it crashed. But now, the app is practically unplayable. It freezes immediately when I select my puzzle and stays like that until I close the app. I can barely get pass the title screen. I tried closing all my background apps but the same thing happened.

I don’t know if this app is just incapable of supporting all of these puzzles or something but I do NOT suggest this app until the developers fix this issue. You can’t even finish half the puzzles offered on this app.
Jae Parker,
Best nonogram app!
I’ve tried every nonogram app on the store and this is the best by far. It doesn’t penalize you for mistakes, allowing you to solve each puzzle with deductive logic alone. There is also a wide range of puzzle difficulties that enhances engagement. I genuinely look forward to each update.

My one issue is that there is a technical issue with the “creatures 3” category, such that when I complete the newest additions, they never show as completed. If this were fixed, the game would be perfect. I would love to be able to complete 100% of each category!
DashieBert,
Nonogram999 is the best nonogram app.
I have used a lot of nonogram apps and this is honestly the first one I’ve liked. There is no limit to which puzzles you can do and no specific order you have to follow, making the entire experience seem more like a game than a chore. Best of all there is no premium you have to buy in order to gain more puzzles. Also the idea of completing multiple nonograms to build one big picture is genius. My only “complaint” would be that I would like to have a zoom function which would make some of the puzzles (like the 30x30 ones) much easier.
