Noodle words
This is a great app. The only reasons I didn't give it five stars is because of the limited number of words. Also, children with poor impulse control sometimes hit the word box several times in a row making the words come up all at once. I think it would be better if there was a setting where one word had to finish its action before the next word can be activated.
bajebooth,
It is ok to play with your words!
Noodle Words HD - Action Set 1. What a joyful and just plain fun app to teach action words and basic iPad skills. This is not a flash card or drill game....it is learning by literally playing with words. For example, the word stretch can be stretched and then snaps like a rubber band across the page. The word sparkle, lights up and sparkles! And if that isn't enough, you have two delightful bug hosts, acting out the words to help reinforce learning. Skills such as dragging and dropping, using both hands to shake things up, and using fine motor skills to pinch and pull words apart is presented in such an original and unique way that it helps kids gain meaning to words and retain what they are doing. This is certainly an app that helps bridge using letters to form words. There are no ads or IAPs- and this is one of the few times that I wish there were as I wanted more. Highly Recommended.

Noodle Words HD - Action Set 1
I was a little nervous to get my son this app as I was not sure what it would offer him or if he would enjoy it. It turns out he is LOVING this app! The little bugs that animate the words are cute and he loves seeing them interact with each other and act out the words (spin, jump, and other action words). He has many fun games and books on his iPad but he has been going back to Noodle Words since I downloaded it earlier this week.
If you have a child who is learning vocabulary words and may be reluctant to work with action word flashcards, like mine is, this is a fantastic app for letting your child work on his own, but still getting great words practiced both to hear and to see the spelling.

Great Action Word Vocabulary App
It's a simple enough concept -- the printed words do what they mean. But it's all in the execution and everything is done perfectly. The animations and sound effects are beautifully synchronized and the bugs are adorable. I am a school speech language pathologist and I love using this to teach action words to my younger students. This app is particularly great for my students on the autism spectrum who learn so well through video modeling. More words would make it even more wonderful but I absolutely feel like I've gotten my money's worth. Everything is cleverly thought out and the production quality is top notch. Great for school, great for families. Thank you!
TeachTots,
Simple and Great!
When I first laid eyes on this, it didn't excite me. But when I actually watched how it worked, I was very impressed. The greatness of this app lies in its simplicity and its ability to do all the right things in a simple but effective manner. It's fun, educational, and entertaining. Simply a very well thought out design. This is well worth every penny! My only request/hope is that they have updates which adds new words without requiring in-app purchases.
rascalbob12350,
Great start!
This is a great beginning! Hope the developers follow through. Needs more word sets, obviously. I'd also like to see the ability to silence the spoken word when it first pops up. See if the player can guess the word from the action alone. Or even have just the word alone appear, and then touch trigger the action, and another touch to trigger the spoken answer.

Worth buying as is.
nocal mom,
Fun app to use with students
I have used this app in my speech therapy sessions with elementary aged students. They really enjoy it and there is really a lot you can do with it. I love the variety of things each word can do, how each letter in "sparkle" has its own different sparkle or if you tap "grow" enough time you get flowers! Would love to see you come out with more word lists or lists that can be customized.
Toadsch,
Awesome
This app makes my 3 year old giggle like crazy. Although, after a couple of months, I think he is growing a bit tired of the same words. Time for the developers to release new ones. Maybe as an in-app purchase.
ALS_reader,
It’s my fault
It’s my fault because I just glanced at the description, but this app has ONLY 18 *WORDS*. Period. It is a lovely app for those 18 words, really it is! But did I mention the app has only 18 words? When I glanced at the description somehow my brain thought “18 LISTS of words”. Nope. Like I said, it’s my fault for not reading carefully, and the concept is amazing, but I can’t give more than 2 stars because of the lack of a decent core of words. 😕
Informed consumer. 101,
Great app
Let me start with I have used this app many years and loved it. It introduced many children with ASD to the world of actions.
However with the new and improved version. I am no longer able to open the app . It goes from booting up to blank. I’ve rebooting ot several times. I have the new versión 11. So I give it two stars for the memory of what was. Ps when it works its worth 5 stars.
