Learn and practise Norwegian (Bokmål) verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 350 core verbs, Norwegian Verb Blitz is a clear and effective way to refresh and revise your grammar skills as well as expand your everyday vocabulary.

As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:

- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form for the English translation?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Norwegian and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?

The app will track your scores throughout the games, so you can check in the Performance section at any time to see the entries you're finding trickiest.

The verbs selected represent some of the most commonly used Norwegian words, so Norwegian Verb Blitz is a great way to increase and practise your everyday vocabulary, too!

A couple of nice new features in this update! Firstly, a shiny new Settings button has appeared on the home screen. In here, you’ll find sliders to adjust the speed of the multichoice and snap games. Speed them up for a challenge, or slow them right down to revise at leisure. It’s your call! Also, when playing the games, there is now the option to select the set “10 Essential Verbs” to focus on, so you can really blitz those fundamentals. We hope you enjoy the update. Happy learning!

This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings. We like a challenge, but ten seconds was maybe a little too stingy for some of the more demanding tenses! Happy learning!

If you've been using the 'swipe to mark as learnt' feature in the verb list, you can now choose to play the games with just your ticked verbs, if there are enough of them (usually at least ten per game). It's a great way to focus your learning on just the verbs you know, rather than be overwhelmed by the whole bank at once. Happy learning!
