Description
Mesa Verde National Park has partnered with OnCell to build the park’s first mobile app! This app contains more than 20 points of interest with GPS-enabled maps and engaging content highlighting natural and cultural features of the park. Discover the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made Mesa Verde their home for over 700 years. Today the park protects nearly 5,000 known archeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the world. Visitors can stay up-to-date on events and programs happening in the park throughout the year with schedules and links to the park’s website and Facebook page.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Trails are missing from the trails page. For example, the Far View Sites Complex is listed on the website hiking trails page but not in the app. There are discrepancies regarding closures. In the app, the Spruce Canyon Trail is listed as closed. On the website it is not listed as closed. On the website, the Soda Canyon Overlook Trail is listed as closed. In the app, it is not.
ScooperSD,
Fantastic Audio Tour
I’m not sure when this app was created but it was a WONDERFUL way to explore the park while some of the tours were closed during COVID. You need to download and open the app when you have WiFi access because otherwise it will not run in the park. There were signs near the museum that told us about the app and where to find WiFi access while in the park. The Mesa Top Loop audio tour was well done—I recommend it to anyone prepping for a trip to Mesa Verde, even when the park is fully reopened!

Not working on iPhone 11 Pro - iOS 13.4.1
I have downloaded this app to use it while visiting Mesa Verde national park. The app freezes on the home page and we can’t access any of the information. I deleted and downloaded again, I restarted my phone, to no avail.
Kamelekamahao,
Download multiple times but it’s worth it!
This app downloaded in what seemed like 4 rounds of packets. After the first packet downloaded, I had to close it out and restart. Each time it went a bit faster and the MB decreased. BUT ITS WORTH IT!
The Mesa top loop audio tour with TJ Atsye was informative, entertaining, and deeply connecting. Highly recommend!
Ps. There’s wifi at the visitor center for the downloading!
