A must have application for every nursing student!
This is so far the best study program I’ve used. I enrolled in Kaplan, Uworld, Klimek, even using Saunder’s book but combined all these and you got NRSNG. This app and the concept of creating NRSNG is AMAZING! So high tech! It’s like having a school in your pocket, at home, at work, while driving, everywhere. What’s really impressed me is that you can log in everywhere and use it, even in iPad, phones, laptop or desktop devices. You can even use your TV to watch the video if you have Apple TV. You can go to library to study in a quiet place and create your environment as if you are actually taking NCLEX. One thing that I recommend, though is that, I hope they can include assessment like adding NCLEX style question at the end of every video lesson so that we can apply what we have learn and improve memory and critical thinking. Other than that, this app is highly recommended. I love it! Thank you to NRSNG team. You all did an excellent work!!!

The app is worth every dime IF you can actually afford it
$84 a month for 6 months is a lot of money. I’m a single mother of 4 going back to school for nursing after more than 20 years since graduating high school so I needed help. Most resources I found were much more affordable but much less useful. (You get what you pay for I suppose). The number of topics/classes that they cover here is honestly pretty shocking and exceeds anything I’ve seen anywhere; I just wish there was a cheaper option for those of us barely scraping by, (subscribing to only the pre-nursing option, only the nursing courses or only the test prep instead of everything. Maybe lower payments over a 2 year period since everyone needs AT LEAST 2 years to get their RN, even spreading it out over 12 months would make it more accessible to the less financially secure of us.) If every nursing or pre-nursing student used this program then the failure rates would be much lower than they currently are. So this is worth every dime if you actually have the money to buy it. I don’t even have a home phone or cable tv - THATS how broke I am, so shelling out $84 a month for 6 months is A LOT of money.

Better than any other NCLEX prep
I love this app, and the online version is even better. I love how I can listen to this while I drive, workout, or go to the store. I recently failed my NCLEX (I used HURST review before that exam...it obviously did not help), so a friend referred me to NRSNG and now I am hooked. I wish I had NRSNG academy in nursing school, the content is explained so much better than my instructors had ever taught. This app has thousands of questions on each nursing concept, disease process, labs, medications, management of care...etc. There are cheat sheets, pictures (drawings/real life pictures), and patient stories (which I think is the best, it helps you remember the impact that these disease processes have on people). Lastly, the online content has the SIMCLEX (simulation NCLEX). It is EXACTLY like the real thing. The questions are adaptive to how you answer, just like the NCLEX. Try this before you start to see where you're at and then after you complete all the lessons to see where you're at!

I tried this app my first semester and I was a little overwhelmed by all the information. Fast forward to my third semester- I tried the app again, I am extremely grateful for all the information! My RN program is textbook heavy and moving at accelerated pace. I never have enough time, so this app has been a life line. I just got an 84.5 on my first maternity exam, and I was in the top 10% percent of my class.
During the last upgrade the app got glitchy, when I reached out to customer support Kenia troubleshooted with me until we got it resolved. Our email exchange was very friendly and everything got resolved in a timely manner.

One of the best
Out of all the nursing aids I have used, this one shines primarily because of their careplans, patho charts, and cheat sheets.
Yes, there are 5 others that are also on my top list but the one thing that NRSGN has that the others don’t is an obvious approach of true intent to the nursing student. Is like they made this product with lots of EBP, thought, and mainly... heart... Is like they wrote in a Journal - “Never forget how hard ..”this”... is to understand in nursing school...- put all those struggles together, and found a way to address the struggle that the RN student is going through.
Been a member since 2017 and I keep seeing how they keep evolving the program to make it better and of better quality.

Is like they wrote in a Journal - “Never forget how hard ..”this”... is to understand in nursing school...- put all those struggles together, and found a way to address the struggle that the RN student is going through.
Been a member since 2017 and I keep seeing how they keep evolving the program to make it better and of better quality.

Really good resource
It’s an amazing resource for all the main courses of nursing school. The quizzes you can test yourself on make the app definitely worth it.
I’m giving it three stars because there’s couple of things that bug me about the app.
First: when you watch the videos, it doesn’t adjust the full screen. You’re still staring at the small slides regardless if it’s full screen or not. Second, if you’re 20% battery notice comes up, a text message, or anything disrupts the screen, the screen turns black but the audio keeps going. There’s no way to go back from full screen and no way to pause it or go back. You have to close the app, reopen it, and then find where you were in the video. This gets frustrating after the third time when you’re reviewing material.
Again, the material is amazing and I recommend it to classmates all the time. I bought the subscription because I saw a ten point difference in exam grades after using it. It’s just really hard to utilize the material on the app.

Great content on the webpage, but the app could be better.
I’m new to nursing school and thought I would give this a try. The Information is quick precise and easy to follow. I wish the app was on par with the website. I am unable to access my custom-made courses on the application. Just small things that could make the app just as user-friendly as the website. Everything that is on the website is accessible through the app just missing some features from the website. Other than that so far I’m impressed with how motivational the teachers are and how organized the content is. One thing I would really like to see is some sort of discussion boards where you can chat with other members and have a conversation about nursing subjects with other real people in nursing school or working/teaching as a nurse currently. That’s just me though. Wish me luck! Four stars for the app, five stars for the content.

Clinical Skills > Course Material
If you are looking for help with clinical skills or NCLEX review, this will be more helpful to you. Course work wise, this didn’t line up well with any lectures I had. Part of that is my fault for not spending more of the 3 day trial ensuring my material would match.

Videos can be placed on a study plan playlist, but I could not find an option to have playlists for individual classes. I could only find the extra study materials on the website, I’m not sure if they’re on the app.

Question bank is gold, Simclex is rough
I really liked the questions on the test bank along with rationales. This app made it easy to understand content and what info is needed regarding topics. Studying for NCLEX is probably one of the most difficult things I have done as it is tough trying to decipher if you are studying the right things! This app definitely helped center my focus with the questions. I would have given the app a 5 star but I was just totally not a fan of simclex. Completely killed my confidence once it told me my probability of passing was extremely low even when staying above the passing line up to 80 questions. Caused a lot of anxiety and a lot of over studying. Thankfully, I passed my NCLEX-RN in 75q. Do not take these results to heart!!

Frustrating Navigation
This app is an awesome tool to use with great content. However, it is so frustrating to navigate that I don’t utilize it as much as I would like to. When you watch a video under a topic and go back, it doesn’t take you back to the topic. It takes you back to the Home Screen. Super frustrating when I want to watch and take quizzes for the whole series of a topic. Searching topics in the search bar also doesn’t seem to be very effective.
Because of this, I canceled my subscription. Too expensive to have these issues for me. If this ever gets fixed I would love to use it again though! It really is a helpful tool other than these inconveniences.
