Finder View: The object Finder View now has an extended zoom range with support for visualizing the object image overlaid with custom camera and eyepiece field-of-view indicators.
Sort: New sort options in object lists to make it easier to find the perfect object to observe. Imagers will find that sorting by hours of unobstructed visibility particularly useful! Object lists also now support context previews and menus under iOS 13 (tap and hold an object in the list).
Horizon Measurement: Local horizon measurement accuracy has been greatly improved. You can now also export and import horizon profiles in more convenient ways, including to/from the Files app as well as exporting a PNG for use in SkySafari.
Light Theme: For iOS 13 users who are not fans of dark mode, Observer Pro now has a light UI option. Check the Appearance options in the Observer Pro settings screen.

This is an update to address a couple of bugs and minor feature omissions.

• Added ability to remove entries from Observing History (swipe to delete).
• Added Satellite and Hybrid view options to map view.

• Fixed bug that caused crash when the 'Open Clusters' catalog was viewed in 'Name' sorting mode.
• Disabled 'Name' and 'Location' fields in the 'Device Location' (default) observing site.

Outstanding app I love how I can trace my
Tree lines. I use this a lot to plan observing. But I'd love to see frame size (field of view) to see which scope would be best for a selected target. My 80mm apo or My 8" RC. One has focal length of 480 the other around 1500. I wish I could see the target size in my preset views. I also wish the photos were in color. Though that may make the app huge. Still would be worth it to me as I'd delete a lot of other apps for this one if expanded. I also wish there was a faster way to page down through hundreds of dso's in some of the larger catalogs. Flicking a finger up is tiring and slow. Still works so well at helping me see (what's in view) I have to give 5 star rating. I've bought over a thousand apps. Rarely use any one of them. This is the one worth buying an apple device for. I would also like to see the moon in SkyView. I see the curve and the sky is not as dark, but would like to see moon coming and going... is it behind my tree line? This is also where it would be great to zoom in on the circle in the path of sky view and see. Photo of target with scope focal length size?

Fantastic
I’ve used this app for a little over a month now. It has become indispensable when planning for a night of astrophotography. I, for the most part, do not travel with my scope and keep it in one spot all the time. I have a “decent” view of the night sky. Being in an urban setting, I have to deal with buildings and trees. However, with this app, I am able to plan, minute by minute, what I want to image on any given night and even nights in the future.
One thing I’d like to see added is a feature that would enable planning to be done across different devices, i.e. iPad to iPhone. Just a suggestion.

Best AstroImaging/Observing Planning Tool
I've used Observer Pro for several years, and was delighted to find the updated new V 1.2. Now I've been able to upgrade my iPad IOS without losing Observer Pro functionality.
This is the simplest, yet most comprehensive astro planning tool I've found, for anywhere in the world. I use it at home in New Hampshire and on imaging trips in Chile.
It provides basic data including size and current transit time; a photo; visibility charts by hour on any given day, month or year taking moon-phase into account; months of optimal visibility; and sky location for every object in the NGC, IC, Messier and Herschel catalogs.
There's a somewhat hidden object search function at the top of the Catalogs menu.
I particularly like the new Featured option in the catalogs, which selects all visible objects for a given date and location.
The define-your-own-horizon feature is also very handy.

Amazing, intuitive and well executed app
Having stepped away from desktop planetarium software and backyard observing for about 15 years, I'm again turning my attention to it seriously. I was looking for an app that would assist me in picking a site for a backyard observatory, and wanted to plot my local horizon to determine what objects I'd be able to observe and image. I assumed I'd need a desktop program to do this. No! Just my iPhone! THIS APP IS AMAZING. Not only is it incredibly useful to plot the local horizon and plan observing sessions, but the visualization graphs are incredibly intuitive and useful! Congratulations on an extremely well executed program. I look forward to years of use! Thank you!

Great app with a little bug
Awesome app for planning out observations. The custom horizon tracing feature is awesome, especially if you observe at multiple sites. One thing I would like to see is a way to filter object lists. For example, in the featured objects section you have the option to sort the list by various attributes, but there is no way to filter certain types of objects out. Lastly, there is a bug where tapping on menu items doesn’t register on the far right side of the screen. It doesn’t hinder the function of the app, but it can get a little annoying.

Valuable astronomy observation planning app
The app is simple compared with many of the Windows observation planning applications, but it does exactly what I need. It provides an easy to use view of what objects are above my local horizon (it lets you easily produce a local horizon file using the iPhone camera) and also shows viewing conditions for the object taking into account daylight and moonlight. These last two capabilities are great and are things my windows observation planning apps cannot do.

Great planning tool
I just started using ObserverPro and I have to say that it is impressive. During the day, I use it to plan out my viewing for the upcoming night. The graphs and reference data is amazing. I really like the weather interface. I was not clear on the symbols used for the GUI, so I contacted the author of ObserverPro. He replied back in a timely manner and gave me the information I needed. All in all, I am very happy with this application.

Must buy for any observer
This app is amazing! It tells you what are the best things to look at based on your location, time, moon location, and best of all you own custom horizon for many locations. You can record your observations, and plan out what to look at that night for on a future date. I will use this often.

Very useful and unique
Very useful in helping prioritize targets for areas with obstructions. Have not figured out how to prioritize targets where I am doing narrow band imaging and don’t care so much if the moon is up. Can sort on just nebula I guess but it still ranks items based amount of time they are up when the moon is not.

A must have app for any astronomer!
None of the advanced image capture software have the functionality which is built elegantly into this little app! Yet, it’s essential for effectively planning your targets for the night. I love it! Now, if only we can get an increase in the catalog of objects supported by this little gem.
