Description
Octopics allows you to resize your photos in a smart way.
Ever tried to squeeze a long/wide picture into that instagram dimension box, only to realize a portion has to be discarded?
Have you wished to fit a non-square picture into your profile image?
What about tampering a group photo?
With the content-aware rescaling tool, you can resize your photos without changing the ratio of the main objects, thus preserving useful content as much as possible. To realize this, Octopics will automatically detect useful information in the picture and ensure it is preserved during resizing. However, when the built-in detection fails, you are also welcome to hand-select the area for preservation.
Octopics also allows you to change the aspect ratio of a specific area instead of the entire picture, so that you can elongate, shorten, widen, or narrow certain parts of the image. You can also remove that chosen component entirely, a feature that can often be found useful for chopping white space or manipulating chat history.
