I can’t wait to play this again!
Keith Richards once said something to the effect of, “90% of everything is crap.“ Perhaps this doesn’t apply to nature, but when it comes to man-made things, especially creative ventures, this seems to hold true. I’m pretty sure I played this on the original Xbox, and it was one of those standout games. It was fun to play, immersive, creative combat system, great soundtrack that really fit and atmospheric. When it ended I was sad to see it go. This is one of the few games where I’ve felt like that. I made an emotional connection with my character and his journey, and it was so awesome that it was a bummer once it ended. The only game that has really hit me like that since has been GTA V, story mode. The word cinematic comes to mind. I’m very happy to report that my little Roto riot plug-in controller works with this so that I don’t have to mess with virtual buttons on the screen and all that nonsense. According to the other reviews, though, it seems that the controls on screen work pretty well. Anyway, this is one of those titles that is totally worth it to buy at$2.99. Give it 30 minutes and you’ll be hooked and you won’t regret it.

Fantastic game!
I loved this game when I played it on the Xbox original, but having it on the phone is practically just as good. Once you get used to the controls it feels just like the original game. They did a good job, IMO, with the 1st and 3rd person control. This game is such a classic and being able to play it whenever/where-ever is so awesome. To anyone actually reading this and considering this game, I would highly recommend it. Between the funny dialogue and corky idea for ammunition, it’s such a unique and fun game. BUY IT !!!! You won’t regret it!!!!!!

Love it, but...
First of all, I love this game. I played it back on the XBox and I was so stoked that it was for iOS as well. I have been enjoying playing through this game again but there is one thing that is standing out to me. So many of my saved games become "damaged" and I can't load from them. I just finished with the final outlaw in Mongo Valley and went to visit the black market. When I was exiting the black market, Stranger glitched and didn't walk all the way out the door so I got stuck literally on the inside of the door with no way to get back out. So I tried to load from the auto-save after beating the final outlaw just before going to the black market and that save was "damaged." Two of my previous saves before that were damaged as well so I was forced to go back to a save from the very first outlaw of Mongo Valley. This has happened multiple times during my playthrough so far. I love this game enough to push through and repeat chapters if I need to, but it would be so nice if saves didn't get damaged so we could revert back due to glitches like this.

A classic!
It’s great to see full console games on iOS that I can buy with absolutely no ads or microtransactions. I hope they continue to bring more like it to the App Store. This port is very well done and MFi controller support is perfect. Runs and looks great on my iPad Pro 10.5. Recently tho, audio cuts out after 10 minutes of play and I have to restart the app. Maybe related to iOS 12. If they fixed that, this game is easily a 5 star recommendation.

It’s not bad
I love the game since I was little, but since I’m playing on my IPad Pro, with the pen, it’s hard for the controls. Maybe if I downloaded it on my phone, maybe it’ll be better, but also the buttons to fire and jump and etc are to close. When I’m in a fight I don hit the firing bottoms sometimes and that put me at a disadvantage. The controls are like how I remember when I played it on Xbox...hard to control. The quality is like how it was to, but kinda hurt my eyes. But yeah I should’ve put it on my phone instead, maybe then I would have less trouble. Thank you for bringing back my childhood.

Sound problems
The game runs perfectly fine, it has only crashed once and the animation and everything else looks fine, the sound works a few minutes ,but over time for some reason the sound just turns off and in order to turn it back on I have to exit the app and tap on it again, and save back to my last checkpoint and this gets annoying over time, but with everything else it’s fine just that sound bug that keeps ruining it.

Good game no sound
The game plays fine except the voices or volume goes out and I can’t hear the game until I close out the game and restart then I can hear the voices for about ten seconds then it goes out again so the only way I can tell what going on is through the caption I’m thinking guess what the caption doesn’t work either the game is really alive when the voice acting is working but now I cannot understand what is going on in the game so it’s not playable if it can get fixed with an update it would be great all my other games on my iPad work and I can hear them so what’s up with this one maybe I shouldn’t have brought the bundle if I cannot play it I want a refund

Fun and odd
I remember the Odd World Series quite fondly, though I admittedly couldn’t get passed the first few levels in Abe’s Odyssey. This game is pretty good on the phone, very much a portable game. A couple issues though, the controls seem slippery and difficult to maneuver. Often I find myself tapping on the same button several times before it responds. Also there seems to be an issue with save files constantly getting corrupted. Not sure if that’s something being fixed or if I’m saving wrong.

I am beyond happy with this port!!!
I never played this Oddworld before, and this is an amazing experience! it’s funny and has satisfying gameplay that got me addicted! very surprised how much fine this game is after skipping it for so long! i’ve played the other games in the series before, especially Abe’s Oddysee and Exodus when i was a kid on the PS1. i love these games, and all i ask is for 60FPS support.

Stranger is my spirit animal
This game will always hold a place in my heart. And I'm glad it has a mobile port. To bad its on iOS and requires constant updates, unless you're using an older version iOS on older devices, then you should be fine, which is the only reason for the 4 star rating. If anything i honestly couldn’t recommend the original Xbox port more, if you can find it.
