Odysound - Spatial Soundscapes Hack 2.1.4 + Redeem Codes

This is exactly the app I was looking for as a long fiction fantasy writer! Before I found this app, I would never write to soundscapes because I was overwhelmed by the choices. Odysound has an incredible, but simple collection of high-quality auditory environments which suit the speculative settings I write about! I also love that you can’t scroll back or forward which make these environments feel more real.

I would love to have a few more soundscapes available, because the existing ones are so great! I would also love to be able to listen to the current soundscape even while browsing the menu, which is currently not a feature. It would also be great to be able to organize saved soundscapes. Finally, a bonus feature could be dynamically selecting how low or high certain features are present in a soundscape (e.g., modulate how calm or violent the Pacific is).

My ideal soundscape would be one for a setting of mixed water- and land-dwelling creatures who are humanoid. This would sound like aquatic elements interacting with terrain elements, while occasionally delving into one or the other. There would also be elements of nature-based technology in the interacting environments-such as plants trained to open as doors or water currents conveying transportation. This sound world would be incredible to hear come to life!

First of all, It’s an incredible app, I recommend it to everyone. I have logged many hours of listening, and not once have I heard a loop or stitch. The coolest part, in my opinion, is that the sound is SO realistic that I have turned away and gotten the shivers when a “bug” sound “flew” by my ear. I can’t help but visualize the deep, immense world these sound designers have painted for my ear. The sounds are beautiful, large, creative…they transport you.

As a challenge by the app, I’ve been asked to describe my ideal soundscape. Here goes, my challenge for the app! I would love an addition of a moody, blue, eerie soundscape that almost sounds perilous. My favorite thing to do with this app is pair the sounds with books I’m reading…and I love books that creep me out. A sound that makes me want to constantly look behind my shoulder and sit with my back to a wall is what I have in mind. To achieve this effect on my own, I listen to artists like Martin Stig Anderson, who scored the Playdead games, INSIDE and LIMBO. But, I know that for the purpose I have in mind, I trust none other than these developers!

I am a daily vivid and lucid dreamer and i can honestly say the depth of dreams i have been having since i subscribed has be indescribable, im talking full on scifi in depth dreams, my wife has even commented since i have been using this app to sleep with i snore less so its helping us both immensely and for that i am truly grateful. The biggest and most frustrating issue i am having atm is i keep getting a no internet connection error, and it wouldnt be rhat bad but its like evey time and im trying to just sleep and not have to worry. This is why only 3 stars because for me i am trying to relax and it makes it super frustrating, when i hit ok i lose connection but if i press nothing it keeps playing so i just dont understand. Just a suggestion i notice the music changes to energetic towards 6-7 am, maybe ifs just me that feels this way but i always wake up to birds chirpingish around this time, i know you have a timer but could we ad a time around when we would like to wake up and then the birds chirp to wake us up naturally. Also an option to mix different tracks, i know they play in a certain key but anyway you can can get the tracks to modulate into eachother? I know this review is rather winded and i thank you for taking the time to read. Keep the new tracks comming especially the scifi ones!! To anyone reading this and knowing weather or not it it worth it, trust me it is. Peace and happy lucid dreaming!!!!

Update: I am writing an updated review to include my ideal soundscape for the contest. My ideal soundscape is in a cozy indoor living room in front of a gentle cozy fireplace with a rainstorm outside which sounds muffled from being indoors. The gentle fireplace fire sounds with the muffled sounds of pouring rain and mild thunder helps me fall asleep fast. This is my ideal soundscape!

Original Review: I really like how high quality the sounds are, and the amount of work put into each soundscape. I also appreciate the ability t download sounds offline and have them play in an infinite loop. Some of the soundscapes may be a little too dark, while others are nice and relaxing. The only thing that would've made this app perfect is if the user had the ability to customize the sound in each soundscape. For example, being able to control the volume for the music or each individual sound, and muting sounds that the user doesn't want. I assume the audio is already mixed together as one track, but it would've been nice to have the sounds separate so the user could customize their soundscape experience. I've only used the free version of the app but I would have liked to see more rain and storm soundscapes.

The app is wonderful. The sounds are very vivid; and it truly makes you feel like you’re there. They have a large variety to pick from, from real life ambience to fantasy, and sci-fi like ambiences. I truly recommend to download the app, it can be use for quite a lot, drawing, reading, sleeping, daydreaming, relaxing, etc.

As it is quite quite well known, the app is asking for some challenges and ideas that we can share. So I thought of a more immersive sound; such as like journey or trail. In which you can play the same sounds for a certain time of perhaps walking though a place, and then move to the next destination. It could be a very calm journey or a very dynamic one; in which we might hear even running. It just has to somehow be able to be loop, in a way that doesn’t sound repetitive, and find a final destination perhaps. If someone uses a timer let it run for that time with perhaps the loop, and adjust the ending to that end of the timer. I can go even more in depth with the type of journey of needed.

First, I wanted to say that this app is amazing. I only discovered it earlier this week and it quickly became my “go to” app when I need to focus block out distractions. The spatial audio (immersive 3D sound) is of the highest caliber and doesn’t sound gimmicky or washed out as some tracks in Apple Music and other soundscape apps can. Highly recommend to anyone!

Now, to describe my ideal soundscape as succinctly as possible: a continuous soundscape that evolves over the entire duration of the session, combining deep drone sounds (Mont chants or Mongolian techno), intense thunderstorms, binaural beats at frequencies between 20-42 Hz… imagine taking a walking on some unexplored plane on some distant planet. As you walk across the plane, not only is the scenery changing but the sounds you’re hearing and the vibrations you’re feeling… soothing and hypnotic sounds that help you enter a flow state without distracting you. The soundscape should “evolve” over the 2hr session so you’re not just looping tracks (an issue with the Tide app). Endel does a fantastic job at this as a point of reference).

Above all else, ancient and monumental. A verdant jungle, brimming with primordial life. That which is savage alongside the the serene and beautiful, nature at its very purest. Within the deepest reaches of the wilds stands a lake-bound temple sanctuary, carved from sacred, vermilion stone by artisans from a long-distant past. A lush and varied soundscape is audible from the tiered steps of the ancient ruins; the cawing and roaring of primeval creatures which lurk below the canopy, coupled with the warm, rich breeze and the resound crashing of the great waterfalls which surround the lake. So too is there a low-toned hum heard within the walls, along with a timely and defined thud. Long-forgotten machinery lies in the heart of the temple, alien even to the modernity and it’s hyper-advanced technology. The purpose of the machinery is utterly impossible to determine, some believe it may perpetuate the life of the jungle, others claim it was once a gateway to a higher realm. This would be my ideal soundscape for this wonderful app. I think the developers are very well capable as the existing scapes are of tremendous quality.

Firstly, I’ve been subscribed to OdySound since May 2022, and I am still obsessed with it! Such high quality soundscapes and a diverse selection to choose from!

If I could create a Soundscape it would be based on my favorite book The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. It’s a whimsical, lush fantasy and there’s a chapter titled “A Room Full of Stars”. I cannot describe the sound exactly, so I will quote the book so you can imagine how it feels. “Infinite. That’s how it felt to stand there in a realm, a field…a marvel…of stars…” “We spent the rest of the day lost in that room of old planets and forgotten meteors. I stepped across flattened comets and spilled haloes of things that may have burned for centuries or may have always been illusions.”

I guess, I would imagine a star-touched queen floating in a weightless room, where you can hear the celestial beings move past you, the heart beat of a black hole, the rain of meteors and the soft kiss of stars that burn too brightly. A soundscape of all that you would hear in A Room Full of Stars.

I use other apps for meditative soundscapes, but I absolutely love the intergalactic/fantasy ones that this one has. Really helps with the wishing I lived on a different planet feels! If I could create my own soundscape/request new soundscapes, something like a rainforest on another planet would be really cool. Possibly exploring different sounds of how the rain may hit the otherworldly plant life a little differently because of whatever molecular differences, with interesting alien animal sounds. Kinda like Avatar vibes

Edit: I got all the way through my review and realized I described Mo’Avi. Alternatively, to explore more coffee shop or restaurant sounds, like maybe some kind of space bar or fantasy tavern or just normal real life ambience. Maybe to also explore the solarpunk aesthetics of sound since cyberpunk seems to have been covered pretty thoroughly, so something more bright and sunny with nature but also futuristic sounds.

These sounds really make you feel like you are immersed in another world because they are so realistic and completely surround you. The app is an amazing escape, more than worth the price, whether you want to visit Atlantis, Jupiter or sail with Blackbeard! The diverse, creative variety of soundscapes guarantee there is something for everyone and every activity. My personal favorite is Asteroid for the moment, but they are always adding more.
My ideal soundscape would be a desert campsite. With wind blowing through the sands/ hills and tents. A campfire and maybe voices singing, laughing or talking. Ideally some Duduk music playing for an Arabian desert or even Native American flute for an American desert. Some far off animal sounds and an overall feel of being safe from the darkness and what it holds. Resting from travel under the open sky and vast stars…
