Old Maid is a Victorian card game for two to eight players probably deriving from an ancient gambling game in which the loser pays for the drinks. It is a card-passing game where each player hopes not to end up with the odd card out—the Old Maid. Over the time however the simplicity of the game made it very popular with the kids age 5-10 years old. The game is played all over the world. It is known in Germany as Schwarzer Peter, in Sweden as Svarte Petter and in Finland as Musta Pekka (all meaning "black Peter") and in France as le pouilleux ("the lousy/louse-ridden one") or vieux garçon ("old boy"). So why should you give our version a try? Our game features special 41-card animal deck (2 cards each of 20 different kinds of animals plus one Old Maid card) with authentic animal sounds. We specifically optimized the game for small factor, touch screen devices. We hope you and your little one will enjoy this incarnation of the timeless classic.
How to Play Old Maid:
- Each player gets ten cards. If you have any pairs of cards (two cards with identical animals), click both cards to discard them.
- On your turn, click a card in the hand of the player on your right to take it. If you get a pair, click each card to discard it.
- Play continues, with each player drawing cards from the player on their right and discarding any pairs.
- Eventually one player will be left with the Witch (the "Old Maid") card.
That ends the game, and the possessor of the Witch card loses the game.

Finally!!
Someone made one of my favorite childhood card games! The only drawback is how slow the game is. Other than that ... I love it!

Slow. Boring. Cheap.
I'm sure the developer is maybe a newbie or did this out of hobby but I know for certain Apple provides a good quality studio for you to make a app. If you need to make a server find a cheap one. Maybe have a in app purchase to remove adds. Get rid of the creepy guys mad face. Get real people to play zoom the cards a bit can't see em. It's slow. Instead of "fixed bugs with advertising module" fix what matters! THE GAME! this isn't for a get rich quick scheme you won't make a fortune off ads if you don't have a decent app. You won't any way but you'd make a lot more if it's worth the effort of downloading.

Unimaginative and boring
There's basically nothing to this app. There are three other "players" in your card game who are not particularly well drawn, and one has a permanent scowl on his face.
The game might have some redeeming features if you could change the card players, or what the cards look like. It doesn't even let you pick out the cards from your hand when you get a matching pair -- it picks them out for you and you just click on them.

Okay, but not great
The card graphics are nice, but the avatars are very fuzzy and look like something from a creepy vintage book.
The sound is pretty annoying, although it can be turned off. The theming is weird too.... a tropical jungle with a witch as the old maid? Okay.

This app is lame and boring. It has very bad graphics as well as dumb opponents and such. It can be much improved, with actual online opponents perhaps. Thus would at least make the game a tad bit better.
