solty34,
Amazing features one thing missing
This app is great but has one issues and that is having to separate areas for music one is iPod and one is hi res. It would be way better and nicer to have just one section for all our music because it would make everything way easier to navigate. Also a widget for this app would be nice as well as maybe a way to have an Apple Watch app as well to sync a playlist to as well.
Braintez,
Feature Request: Please add MQA defold
This is already a great music player. What’s missing is MQA defold. Now that dongles are sold that support MQA defold at the hardware level, just need the software to pass the stream to it. There are currently 2 IOS apps (that I know of) that support MQA defold: Tidal and Amarra Play. Amarra Play allows for local MQA files to be defolded properly so hopefully HF player will be another. Then I’ll completely switch to HF.

Thank goodness for this software. It at least offers a decent alternative for the IOS audiophile.
Mofury,
Needs two more functions
If it converted files to MP3 and mp4, and then allowed us to share, I wouldn’t need another app like Voice Record Pro for sharing ideas with other song writers. We write in Spire, then throw rough mixes at Onkyo for listening and at Voice Record Pro for sharing. Would be nice if one app did high res audio, as well as conversion and sharing at the touch of a button.
CaptainSenorMouse,
Perfect music player!
Onkio the best music player I’ve found in the App Store. I’m only interested in listen to my music (meaning that I’m not trying to share, or anything fancy)
The audio quality is excellent with sweet high frequencies and a powerful bass. The album’s art looks great and the layout is simple and elegant.
I’m very happy with this app.
P.KD,
Please Fix and Update (iPhone 12 mini)
This app works nearly flawless on my iPod touch 2019 gen. However, on my iPhone 12 mini the app barely functions. Song repeat doesn’t work majority of the time. After the song is done playing, the music stops. The play/pause also stops working and the app must be restarted. Shuffle also doesn’t always work and stops playing after a few songs. I am using imported songs from files.

Thanks in advance.
benjolmes,
Half way there
Great sounding music. Great interface.

Currently for me, album artwork is not working. I use a JPEG file, named either cover or folder, with small file size and resolution, and put it in the album folder (with the flac files). Am I doing something wrong?

Also, I am still waiting on landscape mode! If using an iPad, landscape mode will be the most used, as the keyboard or stands are usually forcing you to use landscape.

If all the above plus retina screen support were available, I would spend $30-70 on this app... as I believe most audiophiles would, which is your market?
swh1950,
Unable to load files with paid version
I used this for a couple of years and had no complaints. I now have the paid version and it will no longer accept and display files. Not on iPad or iPhone. My iPad was a new install and the hi res section is empty after several syncs and about 50 files to transfer. If I can get it working, I will write a good review on it.
HarryRagg,
App needs to be updated
I use this app with my iPad Pro 4th generation and hook it to my Schiit Stack. The reason(s) I have to give it a 3 star rating is:
1. When playing music, you need the option to rotate the screen.
2. You need to make it user friendly to download flac/alac files from Apple Music to the app. Your instructions only relate to iTunes, which is no more.I found a workaround, but it is a pain.

I have been using this for a couple of days. The sound is very pleasant with my set up.

But PLEASE!!! Do an update. It’s 2021.
jgax360,
Messed up my phone!
Installed this app, my data slowed down, could not send texts, audio routing got messed up, texts got deleted. I kept restoring my phone thinking it was the OS, but I would install this app right after that, problems began again. Restored and did not install this app, my phone is now works great! . Causes problem with audio routing and background sync.
OldUnixGuy,
Do not buy, not worth the money
I would not recommend this app for people that are looking to improve their audio experience over the standard Apple Music player. It any adds a few customizations and the headphone support is very limited. If you have high end headphones or IEM’s this is not the app to use
