I was feeling pretty bad today. The kind of bad where I didn’t feel like getting dressed & driving to Urgent Care! This was my 1st time using the app & I was a little nervous! I was worried that seeing a Dr online vs one in my area, wouldn’t know what was going around. But, I also think that can be misleading at times. My online Dr was precise & asked questions & got a history (probably better than the Urgent Care Dr) & she was very cordial... everything you want a Dr to be. The visit was still personable & her care & concern was refreshing! I was worried that she didn’t prescribe an antibiotic for my reoccurring sinus infection b/c 2mos ago my face swelled up! But, she was right to not prescribe them until it does & we’re gonna try to keep that from happening. However, if it does, I can just call back! In the meantime, the cough meds and inhaler, as well as OTC musinex will get me through! I really like having this option for emergencies, like this, when you just feel too bad to get out in the 25 degree weather!

This app is definitely a lifesaver. I usually do not go to the doctor. No matter how miserable I am. It’s just a hassle, and sitting in a rock hard chair waiting 30minutes plus for someone to come get you only to send you right back out for another 30+ minutes is not the ideal comfort level when you’re not feeling well.
With this app I was able to talk to a real doctor (and a very sweet, caring one at that) in the comfort of my home in my pajamas. You cannot beat that. Regardless of whether or not you have insurance the app will not break your bank. There is a set price with or without. For instance, mine was $25. That is even cheaper than my regular co pay.
I was very satisfied with this service for my first time using it.

My experience with Dr. near me: OpenMed was extremely informative and helpful and I truly appreciated the sincere concern and compassion that my Doctor conveyed during our visit in the comfort of my home! I honestly felt she was genuinely concerned which was so nice to receive from a physician you just met! I am very impressed with this App! I wasn’t even able to get up and make it to church this am so I surely didn’t feel like driving an hour to go sit for an hour in an urgent care center! This is an awesome way to visit an amazing Doctor from the comfort of your own home where you don’t have to get dressed and get out when you are feeling so sick! I’ve used this app at least 12 times. I have lots of autoimmune diseases and women get UTI’s which come on quick and are painful. I can call Dr near me: OpenMed, pay my $25 copay, see a Dr., and have a prescription sent in, in 11 minutes. It would have taken me that long to call my primary Dr. who is an hour drive away. Then sit in waiting room another hour, pee in a cup, pay for the test, then drive an hour back then to pharmacy and by the time I got home and take the medicine, a whole day would have passed. I have no immune system and I hate going to a primary Dr. because I run the risk of catching a bug that takes me twice the meds and time to recover. This is by far the best thing invented since sliced bread.

I have been homebound for almost 2 years and couldn’t go to the doctor. I was running out of options and had no insurance. They don’t have any providers in Ms that comes out to the home so I stepped out on faith to use this app as my last resort but guess what this would be my first choice from here on out. I don’t have insurance and this was on the pricey side but for me with no other options. However, I wouldn’t put a price on my mental health if it cost $1,000,000 I would pay that if I had it to become health. The Dr I saw was very professional and helpful. He changed my meds and gave me instructions on how to use them. Thanks to the creators of this app!!! I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this app! We have our regular doctor but not without a 3 hour wait and the risk of exposing our kids and ourselves to more serious illnesses ....especially with the flu season approaching us , I love how easy and accesible this app is, in the push of a button refills filled, doctor visits for the whole family! ( non emergencies) my insurance covers this app 100 and I love it! You can use it Saturdays and Sunday’s ,24/7 which is unheard of here in the city I live in....the only care that’s available after 6 pm or On the weekends is the emergency room which is NEVER a good thing ( unless of course it’s a life threatening situation)so if your in doubt use it once... you’ll be glad!

Amazing!!!! Is the only word I can think of to describe this app and the convenient idea to have a doctor visit through my phone. Doctor visit with a fair price, committed to help you in a fast and effective way! My first call didn’t went through all way but I was charged, so I called the support and they answered very promptly and solved my problem, giving me tips to have a better connection and a credit to a new visit for free. Second visit was fast and everything went great. Got a doctor opinion and advice, he prescribed and sent all the medications I would need to my closest pharmacy and I’m very happy with the experience!

Because of a mistake I have two Health Care Plans. United Health Care & Kaiser. Kaisers service is horrible but you have everything under on roof. They just try to do as little as possible to actually help you. If you have Kaiser switch to UHC and use Dr near me: OpenMed. Admitted, sometime I’ll use Kaiser because I have a good report with one of my doctors. But mostly I use DOD because it’s fast, effective, and the doctors don’t give a lot of pushback because they are restricted by policies that encourage them to save money for the company. Great experiences so far.

I was a skeptic of video Doctor consults, but not anymore!!! This was so extremely easy because the app is user friendly. Our Doctor was efficient and kind!!! I made an appointment at 5am when my daughter had symptoms and we saw the Doctor at 8:30. It could have been earlier however I wanted my daughter to get more sleep. How wonderful it felt to be able to make that decision and choose when WE wanted to see the Doctor. I believe this is how medical care really should be!!!! I can’t say enough about this app and program period. Genius whoever invented this. I dread going to the doctor’s office. Not because I don’t love my doctor, but when I’m sick I don’t want to go outside and see her in about two weeks when I can get an appointment :/ or have to see a total stranger. But this system takes the annoyance of having to go somewhere and every doctor I’ve had has been soooo great.
Seriously, it’s times like these I’m so thankful for technology. Now if only I could 3D print my prescription we’d be golden! ?
