Par Timer Pro Hack 1.4.0 + Redeem Codes

It's a great app for training, but it is kinda misleading. I didn't read the small note at the end of description and I thought it would track shots using microphone or motion. It just makes beep sounds, nothing more. I wouldn't have paid for this app if I had read that.

It is a good app despite that, deserves 4 stars. But it would be #1 app if it had microphone support.

I just got the app but immediately noticed two obvious features that are missing: 1. It needs the option of configuring different tones for the START and STOP/PAR signal. When practicing something repeatedly without looking at the screen and just using audio cues, it is easy to get out of sync and mistakingly starting on the STOP/PAR signal because they sound the same. 2. It needs the option of disabling the screen lock so the phone doesn’t dim and then lock.

Update: Both features have been implemented. 👍

This app does exactly as advertised and has been CRITICAL for my shooting success. It’s also much better looking than all the other apps I’ve tried.

One thing though, I couldn’t really understand the multiple targets feature, but since I can design the scenarios for dry fire myself I don’t really need it.

Other than that, I’m perfectly happy to give the devs a few dollars for this app. Thanks guys!

This app is exactly what I needed to help with at home dry fire practice.

This is app is dead simple to use. Several sounds to choose from, easy to choose par time, and one click start.

My favorite part is the looping feature. I’ve been using it to practice my draws. I can set up a loop, and it’ll run a random pause, then start beep, then end beep, then repeat.

This is great to practice skills like draws, reloads, failure drills, and more.

I noticed on crap review on here, but that guy wasn’t reviewing this app for what it is.

This app is not a timer app, not a shot logger, not meant at all for any type of range work. Use a “real” shot timer for that stuff!!

This is just a or timer, but it’s a great one and exactly what you need to help dry fire practice.

Wasn’t looking for anything fancy. I already have a competition timer for range use, but I don’t always have it with me.
I wanted a basic app with a Par Timer. This app lets me set the Par time to within 1/10th of a second.
It also lets me choose a random start time and I get a 2nd beep when the Par Time runs out.
I use it for dry firing drills indoors (no ammo in the dry firing room). 👍🏻 💥💥💥💥💥

Awesome! I almost spent more than a hundred bucks on a shot timer just for par timing. Glad I found this app. It is simple to use and the GUI is well designed. It has tons of beeps/tones you can choose from. This is perfect for practicing your draws at home. Just note, this app will not replace a physical shot timer, it’s a Par Timer, duh!

The app does what it does well. The other Pat app on here that costs .99 doesn’t do as much. This has a repeat function and multiple standby times. Clean UI. I use it with a Rhino laser for first shot draws and it’s perfect for that purpose.

The loop function is a step in the right direction. Have the ability to set the loop to end after say 10 repetitions would be great. Having the ability to set those reps and work up to a smaller par time would also be very beneficial for those wanting to do those extra steps for improvement.

I bet you’ve been hesitating to buy a Pact 3 or Pocket Pro...

Get this first for at-home practice. When you need one for the range (provided you’ll have some privacy), upgrade to the “big guns” timers.

Since this is one of the only paid apps to come up when searching “shot timer”, it stands to reason that it would be a “shot timer”. Nowhere in the description is it stated that the Par Timer won’t actually track/record shot times/splits. While I’m sure there are plenty of uses for an app like this, it’s not what I wanted and not what I thought I was buying. Should have read all the reviews before buying.
