CalicoLover2011,
A very helpful app for kids but more activates
So my toddler is really happy because he is only 3 and he is already learning addition but he is starting to get tierd of the app because there are barely any activities to do. There are fun one like for example if Susan had 4 apples and she ate one how many would she have left? These questions they ask are also getting easy so I wish they were a little harder when your child is doing them
Emmaliah2,
Awesome value for 2.5 yr old!
This is the first digital game my 2.5 year-old daughter played and she enjoyed it for almost two hours after we played it together for 30 minutes. There's a lot of learning fun for a free game and it does a good job introducing early math concepts along with color identification. There are different areas of math concepts and different difficulty levels so if your child is proficient in one area but needs practice in another, the difficulty level can be adjusted for each concept area. Awesome and educational app! Thank you!

Good, but doesn't really test the user
My 4 yr old uses this app and likes it. However, I don't believe she's really challenged. Unless I sit with her, I don't believe she is using any level of deductive reasoning or math skills. It looks like she's just going though the motions. With other apps, I can see she's being challenges to think. Other apps don't give up the answer as easily. Some elements of this app are fine, but your child will master them quickly (i.e., ordering the dogs lowest to highest or the mice on the balance). Other apps teach addition better than the ducks on the slide.

PhotogMom5,
Love this app!
I LOVE the apps from Duck, duck moose they are easy to use beautiful and educational. This is a great app! There are activities for lots of core math principles - counting, addition, subtraction, patterns etc. I love that there are three levels of difficulty so my 3yo and my 6yo can both play with this app on their individual level. The pattern game totally rocks and the addition and subtraction games are wonderful. Can't say enough good things about this app! It's such a great way to introduce and reinforce basic math concepts!

I would love to see this app expanded to have a better introductory division game (the mice on the teeter totter is just okay and there's not much difference in the difficulty levels) I'd also like to see better sorting (the biggest to smallest game is also just okay) and I'd like to see some shapes, same/different, and measuring to complete the core math curriculum.

"Fun," but not the best
This app may look entertaining and fun for young children, but those are its only true function. Looking at this app from an educational standpoint, it falls a little short. Adding an assessment section in which a parent or teacher can view their child's current standings and progress would be extremely helpful. Upon start-up, the app also needs instructions. Even as a teacher, I was very confused on how to start the app and how to play some activities. The menu icons (the kites) are also confusing and a bit misleading. I also wish the app had more controls than just "Level 1, 2, 3." The app contains good concepts to be worked on, but they need to be touched upon in a better way.

Not worth the price without corrections and expansion
Probably worth more than 1 star but needs some work at this price. As others have said the sorting portion is flawed. The app gives you a 'Great Job' whether you sort big to small or small to big. Also, appears to only have two different sorts, dogs or numbers. For $1.99 I expect more. The pattern portion is a bit flawed also. I'm sorry but Shovel-Bucket-Bucket-Shovel-Bucket isn't a pattern. My first impression of the app is that it tries to have something for too large of an age range of children. Those who don't know their numbers and those who are ready for beginning math. I think it would be better off focusing on one or the other. Save your $2 until this app is improved and expanded.
PC Weenies cartoonist,
Awesome app - my 4 year old loves it
The extra skill levels and variety of engaging math activities make this program a true gem. My daughter has been playing this game non-stop. Controls are very simple and take full advantage of the iPad's capabilities. The music and voice over are well done. You can quickly swipe to move between the various math activities, which include addition, subtraction, basic ordering and pattern matching. This app is a true gem!
