Japanese Passport Photo - Success
I needed a photo to renew my Japanese passport and living in the US, not all local drug stores/office supply stores offer the size of photo needed for this purpose. I took a picture using my phone (I used a ring light and stood in front of a white wall to make it easier for the app) uploaded it to this app. It removed the shadow and made the photo appropriate to use as a passport photo, I then chose Japanese passport for the size and paid for the photo to be delivered to my house. The process was easy and seamless, but this is where I hit a snag. The photo came within the week, but the photos were cut. The cutting was sloppy and all of the photos were cut smaller than the required photo size. Additionally the Japanese passport requirements mentioned to bring the sheet of photos uncut.
I contacted the team for this app and they quickly sent a new sheet of photos, uncut, free of charge, and within the week.
I am happy to report that the Japanese consulate has accepted the photo.
Even though there was a snag, the team was responsive, professional, and quick to provide help. And the whole process worked.
I can recommend this app to anyone in my position. (Just as an FYI, I did end up getting photos as Staples just as a backup. That worked fine as well.)
I contacted the team for this app and they quickly sent a new sheet of photos, uncut, free of charge, and within the week.
I am happy to report that the Japanese consulate has accepted the photo.

Don’t use this App
I had to take a picture last minute after hours I thought I would be able to use. My photo was accepted by the AI verification, but upon further review the human verification denied my photo. I went into my local DMV the next morning and they advised me to take the picture back where I had it printed to get a refund because it could not be used. My chin was barely sticking out of the required line up for the photo. I got a refund from Walgreens who printed the photo. I told this app about what happened and they said they needed proof it was denied. I already returned my photo to Walgreens and got a full refund I don’t have the photo anymore. I uploaded the photo that I did use, that was taken at the DMV. They still needed to see the proof it was denied. It’s so frustrating wasting money on something I didn’t use that was initially approved. If Walgreens who printed the photo gave me a refund why would you not refund me as well? Walgreens went above and beyond for your mistake and you still won’t help me out. Don’t ever use this app!!! Go into your local DMV and have them take a correct picture you can use. If the AI verification was denied I wouldn’t have used the photo. It wasn’t until 10 minutes later that the human verification came through and said it was denied. I’ve told all my friends, family, and co workers to never use this and go into the DMV instead. I hope no one has to go through what I did. Complete waste of money.

Easy and fast
My mother in law needed to have her passport renew. I went to several Walgreens and they stop taking passport photos because of COVID. I did some research online and came across photo aid app. Took pictures of my mother in law and submit it. Took a few minutes for the experts to review and sent confirmation that the photo is accepted and will be ship out.
After 5 days of waiting, I look at the confirmation email and realized maybe I had imputed my address incorrectly and email customer service. But instead of waiting for a reply, I had placed another order just in case the first one was wrong. But after a few hours, Jessica from photo aid reassure me that the address in the first order is fine and I will received them. I then told her I placed a second order, and asked if that can be refunded. She answered quickly and said it would be easier if she refunded the first order. Having that said, I got the pictures on the 6th day and the refund on the 7th day. The customer services is stellar and I showed my mother in law the pictures and she’s so happy with them. I’m so happy I found this app for future use!

Easy App - Great Results!
I needed a photo for my app on short notice because the camera used by my local post office was broken. I rescheduled my passport application appointment for a week later and went on a quest for a passport photo Photo Aid was so easy to download and to use. I simply uploaded my photo and they edited it in less than an hour & I had the digital copy. I paid the little bit extra to have it mailed but the day before my appointment still hadn’t received it. I contacted the Company and they refunded my shipping fee and gave me instructions on how to get my digital copy preinted at Walgreens. When I picked up the print from Walgreens U wasn’t happy with the quality of the photo and was worried it might get rejected by the state dept because of a shadow effect outlining my head. The next day as I was leaving for my appointment, the photo was delivered and it was perfect! Highly recommend the app & getting THEIR print of the photo you need, just ensure you pad the turn around time because US Postal service takes longer than expected.

Great for Expats Overseas
Expat Family of 7 living in Africa. I was a cheapskate at first, using the free photo for my infant’s first passport photo. Now, we had to renew our three oldest childrens passports at an embassy, so didn’t want any mistakes. Payed for the premium as I didn’t have a white background since we were traveling (had to pay for each child) and this app took a just a minute or two to check if it the photo was correct. It did say one of the photos needed correction, and I retook the photo. So I know they genuinely look at it or at least a good program does and explained what was wrong. They also emailed me with a online link to the photos and send the photos in an email, which is a nice service. 🙌
Sent to my husband, who was waiting at a printing shop and was fairly fast.
Only complaint (and a silly one) was I had to retenter my credit card info manually for each purchase. Would be nice if they could have gotten it from my Apple wallet. They do have a PayPal option as well.

14 Days later. No photo.
I would give it zero stars really. I used this app once before for photos. They were fast and efficient. Even though they charged me twice because their app had an error, they refunded me the difference. But I had to email them after checking my bank account. Even though It was during the pandemic but it arrived in a timely manner. I used it again and have been waiting now for 14 days with no arrival!! I’ve emailed them a couple of times and they keep saying this or that. Even asked for the order number and payment receipt. *Sigh. After I ordered the photos, Dennis sent me an email asking to rate their app and service, what a nerve. I thought I’ll wait to see if the photos arrive in 3 business days.... well 14 days later and It has not and I have not heard back from anyone. They emailed to say they’ll refund I’m not sure if they meant the $10 or the $5 or both. Because the app charged me twice. Again! I’ll check my account to see if all monies were refunded. Now we have to go to UPS anyway and the passport application process had been delayed. And to add that we are pressed for time. Very disappointing. And passports aren’t cheap, who knew getting your photo done could be so stressful. (Especially when you’re trying to juggle your family and work).

Great Option if you don’t want to take a new photo!
I was looking online for a way to use a headshot I already had as a passport photo, and this was one of the first options that came up. It’s great that they not only covert the image sizing, but they have a team that photoshops the photo to make sure that it will pass the government’s biometric test! It took a couple tries, like they don’t recommend smiling photos, but re-uploading is free! And they centered the second photo for me by photoshopping my arm in the blank space. The support and customer care team were SUPER responsive and helpful, which really made using their services much easier. If you want a copy of your photo right away/within the hour, I recommend having access to a photo printer with the right photo paper and print using the downloadable version they give you. Otherwise shipping the printouts takes about 2-3 business days, which isn’t too bad if you’re not in a hurry.

complete rip off
they get you to give them money by saying your photo works then after you pay them the money they say oh we need to do a more thorough review and guess what your photo doesn't work and it completely defeats the purpose of using this app because now you have to change all kinds of things that aren't even accurate. In my photo I was looking directly at the camera with my mouth closed with my shoulder showing and they claim the photo doesn't work because I have my mouth open and my shoulders don't show and it wasn't looking at the camera. Yet, Right before I paid money they approved the photo that I had uploaded. This is a total scam
UPDATE: The developer has now sent me a message saying oh we are just verifying your photos because that's what we do because we're so great but they fail to address the fact that the issue with the photo does not match the photo. ie your mouth is open and you're not looking directly at the camera and there's not enough of your shoulders showing. When my mouth isn't open I am looking at the camera straight on. It's a scam to get you to buy the product and then once you give them their money then they reject your photo..

I was initially looking for a store that would provide a digital copy of a photo. Most places that could were just aware of local document requirements and I needed different requirements.
This app allowed me to select the country that I needed to submit the photo too. They have all the requirements for each of the different document types. The fact that the app and then a human validates the photo and they ensure that the photo will be acceptable by the countries systems. My initial photo passed the app checks. It the human validation picked up a glade that would have rejected it. I was contacted very quickly with detailed instructions for how to correct the problem and resubmit a new photo. I was very impressed with the professionalism.
I then had to contact the app support team because I realized that I had selected the wrong document type. The staff were able to accept a new photo and switch the processing to the correct document type. The updated photo that I received back was successfully accepted by the countries portal with no issues. All of this back and forth about the changes were all done within an hour. I was extremely happy with the service I received and I will be using this app for all future official pics.

Awesome service and even more awesome customer service
First of, this is such a needed service and an efficient tool to help you in the process of renewing official documents or IDs . Secondly , the customer service is amazing ! I needed a Romanian ID photo for ID through power of attorney and the requirement is that the photo must be 3x4cm with a 7mm white base band .. so complicated ! The app did not have this option available so I emailed them asking if they do offer it . I did not expect a reply , to be honest . I got the reply within minutes and the photos were ready in just 5 minutes or so . I had to ask for a revision after I got a clarification from the Romanian consulate and again they were very prompt and helped me revise the photos . David and Maciej were the people that helped me out and they are deserving of all the praise. Thank you again and I will recommend you guys in our community .
