The PatientPORTAL App connects you, the patient, with your healthcare provider. The App enables you to view upcoming appointments and lab results, as well as send and receive secure messages for yourself and any dependents that you may have for easy communication with your provider.

What's new in the mobile app?
• Request an Appointment
o In addition to requesting appointments for yourself, you can also request appointments for any dependents that you have if a proxy is setup.
• Reschedule an Appointment
o A "Reschedule" link was added to the "Upcoming Appointments" screen to enable you to easily reschedule appointments.
• Medication Refill Request
o Enables you to request to refill all active medication prescriptions.
o Enables you to select a preferred pharmacy to send medication refills to.
o You can locate pharmacies based on your current location (with location services enabled on mobile device), and also to search for pharmacies based on a zip code or address.

o Enables you to log into the PatientPORTAL mobile app using your fingerprint.

The app is ok but it don’t show all the med plus it’s saying I got mail but I go click on it it says no messages idk what going on with the app but it needs to be fix I use it for my kids dr the other app they had before this one was way better not 1 problem they switched to this n bam there nothing but issues n problems so frustrating I really don’t even like this app anymore

User (i.e. Doctor) adoption is key.
Not sure if this is true for every medical org that uses this app, but in my area, the major medical group promotes the app…and then they never use it. Makes the app completely worthless. I came to North Carolina from Colorado - UC Health - which has an AMAZING app, fully integrated with their systems - I could email my doctor on it and have a response same day. My lab results were all visible. Meds all listed. My doctors could all read each other’s notes. I could schedule and cancel appts. This app *wants* to be that but will never be if the doctors and admin staff aren’t going to actually engage with their patients that way. Shame really. It’s the 21st century and North Carolina still feels like the 1980’s.

Embarrassment of an app
For returning users, you are better off just starting a whole new account. I had to contact 4 different departments just to login in because this EMBARRASSMENT of an app was not recognizing my information. (which was correct the entire time btw) I ended up getting transferred to an I.T. Department just to hard reset my password. I am still not able to login through the app because it is still not recognizing my newly reseted password. I have to go online through safari just to have a chance at logging in, just to view lab results. By far the WORST APP I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.

Where are lab results?
This new patient portal American Family Care uses is just blah. The old one on their website gave explicit information and everything was in one place. The app’s messaging feature is terrible and you cannot view your labs on the app, only the website.

Update Please
So far the app has been pretty good, but there is a flaw. The app doesn’t allow you to upload an attachment to your message. The only way around this is to go to the patient portal using your web browser. Please update this and I might give 5 stars.

Needs modernizing
The app doesn’t work with the iPhone password manager correctly and it also wants to set up fingerprint unlock which isn’t even available on any of the newer iPhones starting with the iPhone X. If you are going to build an app - at least make it easy to use and keep it current. Why bother otherwise?

So Frustrated
I use to love the way this app worked. I got all my lab results in record time & my messages were quick to get a response. NOW my labs are all messed up. There is nothing recent and it keeps saying my labs are in and that I have a message, but I don’t. Please fix this app. I don’t know what happened with the last update but please reverse it.

Terrible App
The only way to read messages is to hit reply. If you send a message and then go to sent messages you cannot see what you read or who you sent it to.
Just a simple thing like messaging is difficult. If you go to Patient Portal on a PC it works great. Translation to iPad is terrible. If I am on travel it is pretty much useless.

Unable to reset new password
My email doesn't match with my password and my secret question doesn't match either. I've been trying to fix this for over a month and the pediatrician's office doesn't know how to fix it and intelichart doesn't offer any user support.

Needs a lot of work
I have My Chart and it is hands down better. I find My Chart easier to navigate and easier to see data.
