Rafa Jb,
Great!
Edit - This is an update on my first review.

The feature I was missing before is there now. The developers heard new ideas and implemented them, you can’t really ask for more than that.
I go to this app a thousand times a day, absolutely love it. It’s just really useful and straight to the point. It has a nice clean interface that makes it easy to find what you’re after.
That’s it, I’m a happy custumer.

Thanks!

I hoped this would have the same functionalities as the website, it doesn’t. For this price, I would expect that.

The most important part for me, that sets Pealim apart from all other websites for Hebrew conjugation and what keeps me going back to it again and again it is the ability to search for words in their transliterated form, so that us learners that are hearing the word for the first time and have no idea how it’s written, or know how to say it and simply forgot how to write it, can go straight to it, without having to spend precious minutes first finding out if it’s א or ע and ט or ת and ק or כ etc. This makes a huge difference if you’re looking up 30 words a day.
That key functionality isn’t there and I wouldn’t have bought the app had I known that.
NDror,
Excellent and responds to feedback
Great app with extremely responsive developers! I use the website regularly and think this version is excellent.

Interface is clean, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. As with the website I can search by conjugated forms to get an original word plus all it's conjugations and related words. Also words have transliterations, and searching by shoresh is possible. It's incredibly useful.

The first thing I noticed upon purchase was the lack of a feature. When I messaged the developer about it, he responded in less than a week! That feature is now part of the app. In fact, it looks like missing features listed in other reviews have generally been added. I found: Search by shoresh, "See also" sections, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and binyanim pual and hufal within the current release.

I'm generally skeptical of paying for apps with free website alternatives, but I'm very happy to have bought this. I'll be recommending it to the other students in my ulpan.
Dominator6789,
Great App for Hebrew
This app is excellent. Kol hakavod. Would you be able to add a feature that allows me to look up a shoresh, and then see all the different binyanim in which that shoresh is used (similar to the organization in Bolozky’s 501 Hebrew verbs)? Would also be very helpful if I could switch to a different Binyan from within a word. Last, it would be really helpful to include example sentences for how a word is used in context. Thanks again for a great app.
Cat rescuer,
Hard to use
This is a revision to my original review. After speaking with app support I was able to solve the problem of letters getting cut off by reducing the font size. App support was very helpful. A toggle in settings to allow or disallow vowel symbols under the letters would be helpful in learning. Also the app does not seem to allow landscape view when the phone is tilted. Still it’s a good app for learning. I would recommend it to any student of Hebrew.
sanfordh96,
Incredible - Clean and Fast!
Finally a beautiful, clean, application that just simply works! I love how clean the interface is which just the information that’s needed and no more. Also simply having the Hebrew pronouns on the side instead of “First Person Singular” or jargon like that really helps stay “in the language” and is much faster and less distracting. Keep up the awesome work!
Leviwrites,
We need couple more features
The app works perfectly but is not as full as the site

1) when one puts in a root, the site would give all the binyanim that are connected to it. The app does not.

For example when I punch in פ-ג-ש I just get לפגוש and that is it, there is no way to way to find out that there is also להיפגש connected to the root. One specifically should look for that one. Bottom line - unless a user knows already which building blocks are used with a specific root there is no way to find out via app unlike the site

2) ‏לשון עתיד in plural feminine gender pertinence show the masculine conjugation in the app only, unlike the site that gives us the ״-נה״ form as well

Thank you
lagarbanza,
Great app — need a couple more features…
As others have indicated, this is a great app. But a few more basic features would improve it tremendously.

1. Need ability to save words to a list, or better yet, multiple lists or folders. I saw someone else also requested this recently.

(I had a similar verb table app a few years ago that could do this, but that app is no longer available. It still works on my iPad, but not on my iPhone. )

2. That same app also allowed you to choose font size. On the phone, vowels can be hard to discern.

3. It’s nice and convenient that passive forms are displayed on same conjugation page as active ones, but would be helpful to include the binyanim for passive forms, just as they are indicated for active ones.
itshouldbeanickname,
Amazing, hope to expect more of it
It is great. Extremely helpful. But the website still does show more about the targeted words. The web version also shows nouns adjectives with the same roots and verbs with the same roots in other verb groups.
Hope those will be added to later versions of this app, but still amazing app, thanks!
younglizard97,
Please add this!!!
This app truly is saving my life when it comes to learning Hebrew... BUT what would make it even better? A feature where you can save verbs in a set of flashcards or folders.
I am studying law so I want to put all of the law verbs in a folder so I can go back and learn the verbs that I need without having to search them every time.
Thank you!
Ionew,
Why can’t I type Hebrew letters???
I tried to type the root letters into the app like online and it doesn’t allow for that. Can you fix this please!!!! Needs to be an app not just to help beginners but also intermediate and advanced Hebrew levels as well. It shouldn’t just be a fancy dictionary for English, Russian, or Spanish speakers. Remember this is a paid app. I would think a free app would be like this but not a paid app. It would be nice to get this fixed.
