I first encountered Penji last semester, and since I was struggling in my physics class, I decided to give it a shot. Boy am I glad that I did. I was immediately matched with an awesome tutor who helped me throughout the semester. The fact that the tutor is a student who took the class I was in at the same school made all the difference. Getting help from professors or TAs often isn’t really that effective for me, because they learned the materials for themselves so long ago that they can’t relate to what I was going through. Penji’s tutors remember the struggle, and are able to relate to you and share all the tricks that they figured out for themselves to gain a better understanding. That, combined with the fact that Penji is by for the most affordable private tutoring option around is more than enough to warrant five stars in my book!

I am first and foremost a tutor for Penji and I love it. It connects me with students in all disciplines and allows me a great environment to develop my teaching skills. I also find it an excellent way to brush up on material that may have fallen by the wayside. I have also been a student of Penji and found it an extremely useful resource for affordable private tutoring. The tutors have great attention to detail and are very good at explaining when needed or stepping back and letting me figure it out myself if they think it would be more beneficial. I am also very excited for the study groups feature!

After hearing about Penji from a friend, I decided to give it a shot when I was struggling in class. I was surprised by how easy the app is to use! They matched me with a perfect tutor who was knowledgeable in the specific subject of my class and who actually made the tutoring sessions really fun! Not only did I crush the final but I had such a good time learning with my Penji tutor that I am actually planning to pursue this subject that I used to literally be scared of :) Thank you Penji!!

After going to office hours and peer tutoring centers with little success, I tried out Penji and it saved my grades! The tutors are always ready to help and easy to talk to. If I don’t understand something the first time, they’re great at reexplaining to really get the info across. I was about to pay $40 for a private tutor, but Penji is way cheaper and even better quality. I’m excited to try their group sessions next!

I really enjoy this app. Very easy to use and I’ve never had a problem getting a tutor. I’ve had four different tutors and they all were very qualified, and they knew what they were talking about. The pay rates are reasonable in contrast to private tutors that sometimes charge around $50 an hour. I’ve never used a group tutoring sessions but they seem useful and the price is even better per hour.

Penji is a great and easy way to get help in a subject matter! It’s super easy to use and makes finding a quality tutor a breeze. As a tutor, I have seen so many students improve their grades and understand a subject better. Would definitely recommend Penji to anyone who is struggling in a course or just simply has a few questions and would like to understand their course better!

I was struggling in intro chemistry and just one session was a huge help but would have done even better if made it a weekly thing. This app can be the difference between an A and a C no doubt the tutors are professional and usually already took the class your in so they even have an idea of what the instructors want and what to expect on tests.

This is offered through my college! Every tutor I have worked with is extremely helpful and so nice! I highly recommend if you are struggling, or just want some extra help to make sure you are staying on track!! This app and what is within it is exceptional!

I used to go in for office hours and help hours all the time, and I never felt that my time was being used efficiently having to wait for the professor to finish with another student. Penji changed that by offering 1on1 tutoring with an older student who has already taken the specific course at my school. Great app!

I’ve never been the one for tutoring but my calc 2 class finally got to the point where I couldn’t just bs my way through it anymore. I was surprised by how effective just 1 hour of 1-on-1 help was. I could move at my own pace and learned the material far more efficiently than I could have on my own.
