Description

* INCLUSIVE * PRIVATE * NO ADS *

Period app is designed for people who bleed and those who don't.

We don't collect any personal data. We don't even ask you to create an account. Your data is private. It stays on your phone, in your pocket or purse.

We offer an optional subscription service using Sign in with Apple if you want to store your data to our secure cloud and sync it across devices, which is great should anything happen to your iPhone or iPad.

Use Period to track all the things: menstrual flow, cycle length, tampon, pad, cup, discharge, feeling, physical (including cramps and hot flash), sex & libido, hormone (estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone), temperature, weight, test (either ovulation or pregnancy), pill, ring, patch, IUD, birth control implant, and injection. You can even take notes.

Create your own entry types and track whatever you want when you subscribe. You name it and choose an icon. Both custom and basic entry types also come with a notes field so you can add all the details you want. Subscriptions are $8.99/year with a 7-day free trial.

Period is integrated with the Apple Health app. Connecting to Apple Health allows you to import period and related data into Period, and vice versa. It's a great way to get the most out of both apps.

Set up reminders to change your tampon, take a daily pill, remember your hormones--whatever you want. You can also set reminders when you're expecting to ovulate or welcome your next period. Hello!

Add widgets to your Home screen to see when your period is due, get reminders, see a 2-week calendar, or just know how many days you are into your cycle.

Choose to direct message with friends and family, and if you're so inclined automatically alert them when you start your period. Why not find out if y'all are cycling together?

Use Period to:

* track physical and emotional changes

* remember to take pills, replace patches--anything you want

* figure out when your period will show up next

* determine how regular your periods are

* recognize if your periods are on the heavy side

* track a contraceptive ring like Nuva Ring, a birth control pill, or a patch

* monitor your basal body temperature, discharge, or LH to know when you're ovulating

* find patterns so you can know yourself better

We also support Dark Mode if that's your thing.

To make it easy to get started, you can import a .csv file. You can also export all your data because, well, it's your data.

Period app is easy to try--no account needed.

Give it a go!

ab.reviews,
absolutely perfect
This is the period tracker app for ME! Streamlined, minimal, and only tracks the thing I actually care about—my period (as well as other cool things that might be important for other folks, like a variety of birth control options). I love that this app doesn’t have a million things going on, like articles and community pages and quizzes and endless pages to scroll through. I love that my data is protected and that I can export it at any time I choose, and I really love the color choices (ie more than just pink or red) for tracking my cycle. I especially want to say that, if you identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and you’re just trying to track your period, this app is inclusive, accessible, and will not constantly bombard you with heteronormativity or gendered labels. It’s just a menstruation tracker for people who menstruate, and it’s just what I wanted (and needed)!
SmokyOni,
Simple, Inclusive. You hardly need more!
Short and sweet review, the simplicity and responsiveness is great. Putting in past period to get the predictions started is simple enough. Adding entries of physical changes or meds or whatever is straightforward. No need to go searching far or in some hidden categories for info or changing things you already set.

I would like one thing though, if you could select multiple days to edit or, preferably, when you go to add an entry (particularly dates in the past,) just be able to swipe left or right on top of the date or something to just move on that day and quickly input the period info for that day. It would make putting past periods in quicker and simpler than tapping and/or selecting date, inputting data, exiting, tapping on different day, inputting data.... repeatedly 3 or more times depending on how long your period was and how late your remembered to do it.
I'm forgetful personally with logging sort of thing so it just would be so helpful. Hope that makes sense! Love this app so far, thank you for being inclusive.
fiadorable,
Great potential
I’ve been using this app for a little over a week and have been pleased so far. I look for four things when trying out a new period tracking app: No selling my data, no ads, a simple, easy to use UI, and customizable notes. I’m in my 30’s and don’t need all the help articles about periods and women’s health that come with other apps these days. I just need a place to track my cycle and jot down some notes about whatever is going on, and this app may be the winner. I like being able to export my data and delete it if I want as well.

Some things I would love to see added are cycle exclusions (for those of us with irregular periods) and/or an option to note pregnancy. That year and a half I wasn’t having a period because I was pregnant and then breastfeeding is really messing up my cycle averages on the app 😂. An Apple Watch complication would also be really nice.

Overall very happy with this app!
CJCJJLPLP,
Fantastic for younger users
I love this app! I just started my period for the first about a year ago. Since then, I have been trying to find a app to track my cycle. All the apps I found all had “Ovulation”, and “When I’ll be most fertile”. I got so annoyed, since all I needed was a place to track my periods and that’s it. I love how this app you can customize what you want shown in “add entry”. I also love how the app is very discrete and isn’t really obvious that it is an app to track my period. It also doesn’t bombard me with adds. Another thing I like is that you can change the color. I am not a huge fan of pink, or red, so it’s nice to be able to change it. This app is awesome for everyone it just older/ adult women. It can be used by so many people younger, older, and everyone in between. Love this app! 5 Stars!
Addiexoxox3458,
It’s okay!
I like this app I like being able to write reminders on when my tampon needs to be changed and stuff like that. I just started my period today and I downloaded this app to tell me when my period will end or when my next will begin but the thing is, it doesn’t tell me on the calendar when I’m going to start again next month. Is it the kind of thing where you have to go through one cycle and it will take that data, and estimate my next cycle? I mean this is my first period app I've downloaded so maybe this is a normal thing. Anyways I like this app, other than the whole cycle issue but it does work when it comes to reminders.

Have a amazing day/night! (Also please ignore my terrible grammar!)
123869p,
Love at first month
This app helps you keep track of various thing on your period making you feel like you got this in the bag!

First off it helps with your emotions letting you have a chart which decreases anger, cools down sadness, and boost happiness by just keeping a chart for you.

Also, it helps you figure out when your next period is so your not blind to the fact that your period might start today, it has a cycle telling you when your last period was and the average length of them making easier and less stressful.

Third fact is that it lets you talk to your friends, when on your period its always calming to know that your friend texts you that your doing great or if your in danger because you ran out of pads.

Last thing is that it helps you keep track of how much blood comes out so it has this little tracker that can maybe tell you how it’s going to be like in the future.

All in all this app helps you with various tasks making your period ten times better.
Arrowfreak,
I’ll use it forever
I’m a trans man and I LOVE this app. There are no stereotypical feminine colors and designs forced on you, the app icon is discrete and it prevents my dysphoria. The app allows me to track when I have taken my testosterone shot, and a long list of other things. With my permission, it’s syncs with my health app. I’ve completely replaced my use of the app “Flow” because it gave me severe dysphoria, but it was previously the best app for predicting my cycle. I deleted that and am solely using this app now. Thank you to the developers for making this. You don’t know the difference it has made to my mental health!
luxi/lulu,
Best Period Tracker for Teens
This period app is super customizable and easy to use. Other menstruation tracking apps primarily use colors like pink and purple, but I’m able to choose the color of my choice as my period color. Also, you’re able to select what you want to track (tampons, pads, weight, mood, discharge, physical symptoms, etc). My mom also uses this app and likes to track her hot flashes for symptoms relating to her being in menopause. I can also get personalized graphs that show me what I’ve tracked relative to when I have my period (something I didn’t find in other apps). Best of all, it’s free and has no ads :)
Ariellaesabella,
FINALLY! I’ve found period peace!
This app is hands down the BEST period tracker I’ve ever used. It synced ALL my data from my apple health app so I didn’t even have to add any new info The app is super simple to navigate, free, accurate and customizable. I am so sick of all of those generalized “insights” and quizzes that are just honestly TMI. This app is a breath of fresh air in a sea of apps that are trying too hard to be the next all-in-one social media/ period tracker. I just want to track my cycle and finally there’s an option for those of us who crave a minimalist approach.
sofifiiiiii,
I love it
I’d been looking for an app that was simple and gender neutral. As someone who is nb, having a period is already hard enough w gender dysphoria. if your trans as well, yk what I mean. having to buy over feminized products can be difficult, same goes w the period tracking apps. so I was trying to find one that wasnt designed exclusively for people who fit that binary. this app is simplistic. and thats what I like about it. Its advertised for anyone with a period, not anyone whos a woman. and that makes me feel a lot more included and safe.
