Agreed, too dark visually
I agree with others who have said that the scenes are too dark to truly enjoy the game. I find myself getting tense as I try to see the puzzles. Brighten up the background and this would be a much better experience.

Not the best or the worst
Good music and atmosphere and plot that doesn't go overboard with too much video story. I like the other character. but I agree Its very dark and hard to see. Also having some annoyance where you have to use the correct inventory over and over until it work which is frustrating. I find only the Elephant games are 100% on that. I liked it enough to unlock so hope it continues to be enjoyable and I don't over play because when inventory doesn't work I stop playing for the night.

Changed my mind
I gave this 5 stars before I had played much of it. It got bleak and screens were dark and I began to not care what my goal was. I do like the games with more interesting characters and critters are a big thing for me. I am playing this but not with much joy. However all the Big Fish games are far better in General than the others so maybe I am nitpicking. Hope to see Elf roll around soon and games where I can amass points to buy things for rooms or for Elf. Or any games with critter helpers.

I really enjoy the games and graphics. Especially the ghosts and the odd but creative sound effects. Some games were way too easy and I had some problems getting the map to work. The story was too long and repeated itself a lot. Often times had trouble in HOS picking up the items. Simplify and shorten the stories. And if you find the extra item in a scene remove the spiral. Good pass time though.

Not for me
It’s amazing how differently people can perceive things, like this game. I see others who say it’s great, and I think it’s awful. The artwork is rather blurry, and identifying items was difficult. The puzzles were blah. The trial version, which is all I played, was confusing without help from the hint button.
I wasn’t expecting much, since I have yet to find a game in this series worth buying. And it didn’t exceed those expectations.
I won’t be buying this one, either.

Phantasmat: Loch--STUCK!!!
I was engaged at first, but the overly dark screens made it difficult to solve some puzzles. I often guessed in order to move forward, which was tiresome. Finally finished the game, unexpectedly, only to find the bonus game to be buggy. I'm completely shut down, clay jug doesn't activate the barrel to give jug with water, while the help button just says perhaps I'd better move on, in every scene. BORING!!

Although I am enjoying the game so far there was a major issue in downloading it. It took me 6 tries to download....finally on the last try I was able to download. Very frustrating...and it was the last chance I was going to give this game. I hope there are no more issues in playing the game. That is why a 3 star rating...need to fix the glitch.

I like Big Fish games and have played all IPad games for about two years. The map on this game works great. I love the reminder button for the morphing objects on the page. Sometimes I can’t remember if I’ve searched for an item; my brain doesn’t work as well as it did when I was younger. This game got only three stars from me because I will never understand why the scenes are so DARK.

Love the longer games
This was challenging yet linear. You definitely get what you pay for. Great long story (short bonus chapter but that is fine). Really made you use your head.

Started out intriguing, then went bizarre. Found game to be too dark with a few glitches. Storyline I felt got lost and turned into a lot of running around aimlessly. Disappointed for this series, which I have always enjoyed. Lot's of special effects - but was lacking in purpose. Hopefully, next in this series will be better. Just not my cup of tea.
