Expanding the possibilities of the Hasselblad workflow, Phocus Mobile 2 takes the image editing process to a new, portable level. Enabling the traveling or studio photographer to have a quicker, more seamless workflow.
Phocus Mobile 2 can render natural and true colors to the greatest extent, taking full advantage of the Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS).
The following functionality is supported:
- Full quality raw editing powered by HNCS engine
- Supports generating TIFF for cross-platform quality lossless editing
- Download or delete images from camera
- Camera control of capture parameters
- Capture either directly to iPad or to SD Card
- Supports generating full or medium size JPEG
- Firmware update of camera and lens
Compatible Camera Models [USB or Wi-Fi]:
-X2D 100C*
-X1D II 50C
-CFV II 50C
*X2D 100C currently does not support USB connection

Bug report:
Error message shows a lot when I trying to save photos to Photos.
PHPhotosErrorDomain error 3301.
If I select less photos (like 4) it works fine, for saving 22 photos it shows error.
Please fix this.

LR lite
I really love this app. It produces amazing results with minimal effort. It isn’t a replacement for Lightroom but now LR is more like Photoshop was when LR first came out. I only pull it out when I want to do something more complex. Most of my editing and viewing is done with Phocus 2.
Please add USB support to the M1 iPad Pros. The USB support makes this app 10x better! (Make sure to get a real USB3 type cable. You will notice the difference.)

Please add ability to export in psd or tiff so can edit in photoshop directly on iPad without losing quality through jpeg conversion, thanks.

“Works” with the X2D
The app now allows you to you to tether wirelessly but you can’t use live view and you can’t rate the pictures so even the most basic use of the software has not been met.

Great idea soso implementation
Tethering works great, fast and solid but serious lack of export options, no way to get adjusted files with adjustments off iPad and no tiff export. Frequent crashes even on latest top of the line iPad Pro.

Version 1.3 is crashing when trying to open imported iso 12800 files from X2D (1.1). The noise reduction adjustments are not updating properly as well when reviewing iso 6400 files. I’m using an iPad Pro 12.9 with the current M2 chip.

No Live View Capture
With the X1D II, it’s clunky, slow and unintuitive. Worst of all, while you can set the camera controls and hit the shutter, you cannot operate with Live View let alone focus using the app. To sum up i fail to see the usefulness of this app.

TERRIBLE X2D SUPPORT
WHEN WILL HASSELBLAD FIX THE MULTIPLE ISSUES WHICH DO NOT ALLOW IT TO BE USED WITH THE X2D. FOR AN $8,000 + CAMERA, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! HIRE A SMART 12 YEAR OLD AND GET IT DONE! THE JANUARY 2023 FIX IS USELESS!
