Description
Picture book for toddlers is a fun and educational app for children between the ages 0-4 years. Through sight and sound there are 115 different words and items to get acquainted with. Your child will easily progress through the action by dragging on the screen. When you click on an animal, a vehicle or another item it gets animated and its special sound is played, for example a dog barking. A voice will reveal the name of the item displayed.
In Guess the Item, 4 different images are shown and a voice will ask the child to locate a certain item, for example "Where is the airplane?".
If the child taps the correct item, it gets animated and its special sound is played.
The images are divided into 8 different categories:
- Animals
- Vehicles
- Music
- Fruit
- Clothing
- Colors
- At Home
- Guess The Item
The interface is well defined, interactive and excellently designed to suit small children - all in English.

Great presentation, content could be better
The photo quality is great! I also like the the clear, simple presentation; that's best for kids. But WHY did you have to caption a beautiful picture of two chimpanzees with the word "monkey"? PLEASE stop teaching our kids wrong! I hope there aren't additional errors of this sort.

Educational???
I noticed while playing this app with my kid that the picture of the apes/chimpanzee are listed as monkeys on this app. They're not the same thing. You wouldn't call a donkey a horse. I know it's petty but it is a common mistake people teach little ones. Other than that the app is fantastic. My little girl has learned a lot from playing with this app. I wish they would correct this minor detail so that it is accurate!

Finally real photos for kids!
Thank you for building such a simple app with real animals and objects so my child can identify them properly! So many apps have odd looking cartoon characters that are very unrealistic. Just purchased the entire app after trying the free version.

Seems like a good app my little boy loves the sounds!
The only problem I have found is that in the instrument part of the app they have a picture of a recorder and call it a flute!
COMPLETELY different instruments, and disappointing to see.
Would be great if they fixed this problem!

Amazing
Love this app! My baby loved books and this was perfect for on the go. Got it when my son was 11months and now at 13months he know all the words. Impressive that my 13 month old can point out/identify things that he learned from this.

I'd give it 5 stars, BUT....
My 19-month old son loves this app...but the sound just quit on it and I can't figure out how to get it back!!! Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, no luck!! Where's the sound???

Great for early learning
I bought the full version of this app - it's my 18 mth old sons very favorite!
This is a great educational app that teaches vocabulary.

Pretty good; it has the potential for being very good
The images used are good (except for the chimps as "monkeys" and a recorder as "flute").I would also like to see the words spelled out to extend the learning experience. I will re-rate this app when I see those changes occur!!

Doesn't work after new update
I originally had this downloaded and working on my daughters iTouch and after the last update this App is broken; which is a shame this was a great App. Please let us know when it is fixed. Oh and I had paid for all of the categories so I'm a bit mad that it doesn't work anymore.

Fun for kids
Nice simple interface for the youngest kids. Bright clear pictures that play the name of the object and the sound it makes when tapped.
Easy quiz mode shows four pictures and asks the toddler to point to one.
The full version has more picture categories but gets some pictures WRONG. The "flute" is a recorder, one of the "guitars" is a ukelele.
Otherwise a great app for two year olds.
