GabrielNM,
Very close to what I need!
The new folders feature is great, I just wish it would preview more of the thumbnails rather than showing a big folder icon. Some of the marketing images have a grid-style "folder" and that would be perfect.

When clicking an image, it makes a popup view that is ok, but I wish it had a way to click "next" to see the next image in the folder. Or a way to swipe between images.

Very promising future, and the dev is adding new features which is good to see. If it can apply the requests from the other reviews, I'd be blown away

Strong Potential for a Must Have App
I'm going to give this app five stars right off the bat. I do have one issue and a couple of suggestions — but this app has the potential of replacing a couple of apps in my workflow. I can't justify withholding starts for featurs I'm sure will come.

Since it can actually sync through iCloud, I can use this app to do most of what Yoink and Workspaces does. Yoink has an iffy relationship between the Mac & iOS — and Workspaces does not have an iOS app at all. Piles can also handle bookmarks, notes & other desktop accessory features.

Issues:

1) I can't get the Share Extension to work on the Mac in Ventura. The Safari extension works well — but the actual Share Extension is there — but it has not worked for me even after several restarts.

Suggestions:

1) I would like to be able to sort items manually — both in the Home area & within folders. (Right now I can't see a way to sort items in folders at all on Mac app.. Sorting by date & alphabetically does not suit the organizer in me. I'd like to be able to arrange them as desired. To be fair, a lot of other programs behave like this as well. The only solution is to use numbers in the first place in the title — which is an alphabetical work-around.

I will be looking forward to using the program more and getting to know it. However, it is quite simple to use — so it's very intuitive.
KK-ca,
Great app!
Started using this recently after reading about it on Reddit. It is beautiful and super useful. I can save all the things I want to get to later easily and the app itself is very well designed. I used to have 40 safari tabs open for stuff I want to refer to later but now I just add them to a Pile folder. I add thoughts etc. too. No ads or pop ups. Just a clean easy interface. Also extremely tight privacy with nothing shared with the app or for advertising. iCloud integration is also useful so you have your info on all devices but the iPad version of the app is terrible and unusable. I hope they fix that soon. There needs to be a Mac app too. I like the app icon too just not a big fan of the name ;) The developer is also very responsive to questions and feedback by email. Keep it going! Hope the app becomes super popular!

Simple and Useful
Was recommended this app by a family member and instantly love it! Perfect for organizing all my images and gifs! It is elegant, simple, and straightforward which makes it exceptionally useful. It reminds me of what Pinterest used to be back in the day before it became a zany hellscape of imagery and ads. I just want to organize my digital life and this allows me to do so very easily. Thank you! My only suggestion would be I would love a profile avatar! Maybe in a small bio or something. It needs to feel a little bit more personal. That would be my two cents.

Ok • This app means business
If getting involved with an app during its early experimental stages when it’s sort of a dream, come true for many of us who want a lot and for it to look gorgeous on top of that. This app is the dream and it has a way to go, but just the last three months it’s gone from constantly crashing and unusable and still loving it to opening again while I’m paid for it and it has been fixed up a lot I’m gonna stick by these guys.

My Favorite & Most Used App!
I went through some initial sync issues between the iPhone app & the macOS app, but after reaching out to the developer I was offered some workarounds and the issues are essentially nonexistent nowadays after the most recent app updates.
***The creator of the Pile app is really responsive, helpful, and we should all be so grateful that they created such a useful & intuitive app for the iPhone world! But seriously.. this one is worth the download.
habipat,
Better than alternatives but could be improved
I really like this app, some feedback:

1. If i want to select a folder to share under in the iOS share menu, Pile makes me wait until the preview is done loading; on some sites this takes 3-4 seconds & I get impatient
2. Selecting a folder to save under, the save button and folders are all at the top of the screen - I have to stretch my hands. Not a good design pattern for mobile
3. Poor reddit support; No way to back up the actual text of a post or comment (link only), preview loads very slowly, and if I save a link to a comment, Pile titles my bookmark with the post title instead of the comment text
4. Makes me a little uneasy saving my bookmarks in Pile knowing I can never export them - if a competitor with similar features to Pile came along but offered export, I would switch asap just to protect myself from lock-in

Keep up the good work
queenyha,
This is what I was looking for!
I always needed somewhere to save my bookmarks other than Safari so this is exactly what I was looking for!
The one suggestion that I would like to make is I want the ability to look all the bookmarks as a list not as a thumbnail.
That maybe would save some iCloud storage by reducing images and easier to find what I need.

Updated review-
The app will at least open now so that’s good. Still no response from the dev at all which is not good. Unfortunately, the app is a complete mess as there are white cards stating “loading shared card” everywhere! Folders I had meticulously curated with content are ruined. Entire contents lost (yes, iCloud sync is on) I’m really rooting for Pile but it’s gotta get back to being a reliable, stable app or all this social stuff being added is useless. Focus on the app core functionality please. Thank you

Always tidy, even in chaos
This app is the pinnacle of organization despite a quick, scattered day. It’s fast, it gathers everything, and it presents it in such a user friendly way. With this app I’m starting to feel like my phone is truly becoming part of my brain because I can’t live without it!
