Description
Ping! The Museum App is your companion for the playful exploration of Badisches Landesmuseum. Using the familiar Tinder mechanism, you can select objects according to your interests, chat with them and visit them in the museum. Some objects are funny, others are melancholic while others urgently need your help. How the conversations develop depends on your decisions.
Embark on an individual journey of discovery through the museum, build up your own collection step by step through conversations with the objects and unlock new objects by leveling up - literally get to know the objects personally and learn more about their unique stories!
Ping! The Museum App can be used before your visit to create your own tour; it can be launched during your visit to explore the collections; and it can be used after your visit to review your encounters with objects or plan new tours. The application is free of charge and offers the following features:
- Discovery tour through all departments of the museum
- Individual selection of exciting objects
- Creating personal tours
- Tour suggestions according to occasions or moods: for reflection, having fun, the museum in nine objects, for children, etc.
- Tour suggestions on current topics
- Creating a personal collection and unlocking new levels and objects
- Adjustable font size and text speed
Ping! was developed in the joint project museum4punkt0 by Humboldt Innovation GmbH on behalf of the Humboldt Forum Foundation in the Berlin Palace in close cooperation with gamelab.berlin. The joint project museum4punkt0 is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag (BKM).
The prototype was further developed and implemented for the first time in the Badisches Landesmuseum as part of the Creative Collections 2.0 project funded by the Digital Paths to the Museum II programme of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts. "Ping! The Museum App" is a brand of the Humboldt Forum Foundation in the Berlin Palace.
