An actually refreshing mobile game
Pirates of Freeport has tons of options for every player, including ship types, different crewmates, and more. It’s made to be replayable. Another thing - no microtransactions. Great game all around.
There is one issue when you get to higher levels, though. Sometimes when you return from a voyage, the game freezes up and you can’t interact with any of the buttons on the screen. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Would like to give it five stars. It’s actually quite fun.
Edit: had to remove 2 stars. My ship finally sunk it looks like I have to watch about an hour of add to get my people back healthy. I don’t have that kind of time. I do Have money I would’ve been happy to pay for a better system. These 45 second ads are extremely painful absolutely ruined a five star game.
Despite removing ads a huge part of this game is still watching adds. Pulling you out of the game for 30 seconds constantly for you to get enough money to do what you need to do really does break the illusion of the game. On top of that in most annoyingly, The ads are 30 seconds, but then they have a little fast-forward button you have to hit in a few seconds later than you can close the ad. So it’s actually quite a bit longer. I wish you could just pay once and play. The game itself is a lot of fun and very clever.
